Ultima IV was awesome!
RPGs have always been full of cliche's and cookie-cutter objectives (find special object, kill big enemy, etc) Ultima IV kinda showed us it didn't have to be this way, and the game could still be fun.
Indie game developers discuss the media that taught, influenced or otherwise inspired them to pursue careers designing video games.
It'd be great to see more classic titles like this pop up. In fact, if anyone knows of a single "hub" so to speak where things like this may be hosted, that'd be awesome too. I'd love to jump on some old school games with the potential of online multiplayer; though I guess that's partly what the Virtual Console, XBLA, and PSN are for.
