I predict that they will bring the new one to 360 also. This will be a big seller for them.

Kamikaze1354824d ago

I doubt it...I love this game, but most 360 gamers aren't RPG fans so I doubt a PC style RPG game will sell well. Hopefully it does.

Aloren4824d ago

Who says ? last time I checked, most RPGs sold very well on 360. Though in this case, the sequel would probably sell much better since afaik, the first game has no multiplayer, and that would really help it on xbla.

Queasy4824d ago

Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls, etc etc...Yes, Xbox 360 gamers are RPG fans.

PandaJenkins4824d ago

Rpg's are popular on the 360 and it is also an arcade game which a lot of people will see being 'actually' worth the price. It seriously is for 1200 points with the amount of content in it. It will likely sell well.

Lord_Doggington4824d ago

and elder scrolls, fallout, mass effect are slow compared to a real time isometric rpg.

this is actually something that 360 gamers have been waiting for i think

Queasy4824d ago

@Lord - Totally agree. Dungeon crawlers have been sadly missing in this generation of consoles. Loved the Baldur's Gate games on the original Xbox.

Kamikaze1354824d ago

Guys, RPG games do not sell well at all. Halo is the only exception because using RPGs in that game is pretty cool and I can understand. But look the poor sales AAA RPG games like Too Human and Front Mission evolved and gained.

slate914824d ago

Wow what an ignorant comment.

Christopher4824d ago

Such a great win for 360 owners. Really hope they change their mind and bring this and the sequel to PSN.

GameOn4823d ago

Please tell me Kamikaze135 is being sarcastic because if he isn't... the word idiot comes to mind.

Torchlight II will be released for PC, PS3 and 360. It's been confirmed months ago by one of the developers if I'm not mistaken.

Edit: Yeah it was on the official Runic Games forum. But they didn't said anything else after that so things might be up in the air.

Kamikaze1354824d ago (Edited 4824d ago )

Are you sure? This was confirmed to be coming out for PSN months ago as well then was cancelled and is only getting a 360 released.

http://www.joystiq.com/2010...

@WhiteNoise
I know, I can read. What I'm saying is that since Torchlight 2 was confirmed for a PSN release several months ago, those plans may have changed since Torchilight 1 was also announced a few months ago then canceled fairly recently. Either way, I'm getting it on PC. I'm just don't want people to get misinformed.

WhiteNoise4824d ago

@Kamikaze135

He said torchlight 2...this is torchlight 1.

Torchlight 1 was cancelled for PSN.

Torchlight 2 from the very beginning was planned for all 3.

PandaJenkins4824d ago

Those who haven't played this and have 360's should def pick this up. Fantastic game.

Good choice they made putting potions on the left and right bumpers. Get annoyed on the PC version since I have to use one of my slots where I want my skills as a potion slot.

TheDivine4824d ago

I will def get this. My laptop can run it but i downloaded the demo and the cursor was invisible, not brown but invisible, i couldnt see where to click and i prefer a controller and my 46in tv anyways.

slate914824d ago

Looks pretty sweet. Reminds me of Boulders Gate: Dark Alliance. Sad that the 3rd one was cancelled of that series though :(

PeeWizzle4823d ago

Looks like my sort of software. I'll allow my eyes to fixate upon this.

Yawn.... I will say torchlight is fun, but i have that on my steamdeck. Relicta is also on PS+ Extra and looks like it would make a cool VR game. No PSVR support though.

VenomUK666d ago

@Darthv72 How did you shift this story about the Xbox Games with Gold lineup into a negative about PSVR not supporting one of the games?! 🤣

crazyCoconuts666d ago

It's pretty impressive actually.

darthv72666d ago (Edited 666d ago )

Hmm... that is funny. I see it more as a negative against XB. Like other games on both, some offer a VR mode for PS and this looked like it should be one of them. Then again it doesnt even offer VR for PC so... ehh.

RedDevils665d ago

That how professional troll at their best work.

ChasterMies666d ago

Why continues reporting this? Who is left that is still interested in Games with Gold?

crazyCoconuts666d ago

I guess if I paid $5/month for this crap I'd still want to know what I got...

Eidolon666d ago

Yeah, be interesting to know. I hardly care because of Game Pass now, still don't mind seeing what we get, but I've come to terms that it's mostly going to be nothing I'll play if have GP.

itsmebryan666d ago

They should get rid of games w gold. With Gamepass I have too many better games to even think about GWG.

crazyCoconuts666d ago

So they've managed to decrease the value you get each month without decreasing revenue by making the games crappier. If they still charged $5/month without giving you ANY games at all, it would open them up to criticism and direct comparisons to PS+ without any way to subjectively spin the message

Crows90665d ago (Edited 665d ago )

It's also part of gamepass ultimate. It's good to see since it directly competes with ps extra

northpaws666d ago

This is beyond bad... kinda shitty move to force all their subscribers to get gamepass.

VersusDMC666d ago

Technically forcing people to move to Gamepass Ultimate. Regular gamepass doesn't include Gold.

Silly gameAr666d ago

I guess that's that value that everyone keeps talking about.

KillBill665d ago

Technically you aren't forced to buy anything. And Xbox Live gold can be bought separately. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/...

KillBill665d ago

What are you talking about you can still buy Xbox Live Gold on its own if you want to. You guys need to stop having conversations about Xbox if you know nothing about it. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/...

Silly gameAr665d ago (Edited 665d ago )

I guess the comments flew right over your head, huh? If GP was such a good value, gold would come with game pass, without having to get the more expensive opinion.

KillBill665d ago

@silly - what? Point is that gold can be had WITHOUT game pass. simple as that. Nothing forcing you to buy game pass.

gamer9665d ago

@ Silly, not sure what you're trying to say, you want game pass ultimate for the price of xbox live gold? That's ridiculous the amount of full price day 1 games you get included in game pass - you don't get that for cheap. Nobody is forced to get game pass, if the value is there you subscribe. if there's a drought in games you unsubscribe like i just did a month ago. Will likely get back on game pass this fall/holiday and into 2023 when the games are flooding in.

The Best Dungeon Crawlers Not Named Diablo

From Xfire: "The words "dungeon crawler" are defined as a genre of role-playing games wherein "heroes navigate a labyrinth environment, battling various monsters, avoiding traps, solving puzzles, and looting any treasure they may find."

Now, if you, just like every other gamer, thought immediately of any of the Diablo games when you read that, you're probably not alone.

The thing is, the Diablo franchise has been synonymous with dungeon crawlers since 1997. But while the Diablo titles have long been considered the most popular dungeon crawlers, they're far from the only ones that are worth playing."
