Death By Robots - Review: Dead Space 2 multiplayer

Jonno Stanton for DBR writes: Dead Space 2, the action-survival horror that sees Isaac Clarke re-emerge to bring the pain to a fresh necromorph outbreak, is a sequel that brought with it a legion of loyal yet suspect fans. Suspect of what you ask? Well firstly the fear that the game will be more action orientated than horror, and secondly something far more disturbing and horrific… the inclusion of a multiplayer mode in a franchise that was formed upon a deep and immersive single player experience, under the duress that the game as a whole would suffer from this seemingly disturbing action from Visceral Games. I won’t be touching upon the single player related fear in this piece, for all that goodness check out Jenn’s single player review!

DS2's multiplayer sucks, imo. It needs a hell of a lot more game modes and playable necromorphs.

A game like DS didn't need Multiplayer. But i'm glad that the single player experience wasn't affected by the multiplayer. We can thing that MP was a bonus to the fans =D. We can ignore the MP entirely and just focus on the SP.

The multiplayer isn't as great as Assassin's Creed's multiplayer, but it's still something I come back to every now and again. It probably won't be able to stay afloat for very long if they don't add some free, beefy content, though.
