Firing Squad reports that according to a news release by Ubisoft, Assassins's Creed for PC was pushed back until early 2008.
My old POS PC probably wouldn't be able to run it anyways. I'll pick up the console version if the reviews are half decent.
That's not a good sign. They may have bit off more than they could chew with this one. I wouldn't be surprised if the consoles get pushed back next (I hope not).
A lot of pc titles to come out until the end of 2007, so no big deal about the delay of Assassin's Creed ... just this month big titles ... Stranglehold, World in Conflict, Sega Rally, Medal of Honor: Airborne, and more to come until the end of the year: Crysis, Gears of War, Half Life 2 Episode 2, Frontlines: Fuel of War, Hellgate: London, Quake Wars, Clive Barker's Jericho, Call of Duty 4, Empire Earth 3, TimeShift, Unreal Tournament 3, Kane & Lynch, and more.
let me guess ... hard to develop for?

I wonder if this means the console versions will get delayed too. I hope not but if it means you could have a game with bugs or not I would take the delay.
It may be delayed on the consoles as well. That is unless Ubi wants to make Assassin's Creed console exclusive for this year.
Does this mean they are actually going to spend this extra time on making a decent port it for PC?
I was wondering whether to get this for PC or PS3. If the PC version is delayed and the PS3 version is out in November that makes this an easy decision.
