Weekly Sales Analysis, 29 January 2011 - Dead Space 2 Debuts

Hardware is beginning to level out as sales are either flat week on week (X360) or at most drops 9% (DS). The PS3, Wii, and X360 are over 200,000 and the DS and PSP are over 100,000. For hardware milestones this week the DS reaches the 145 million mark. When it comes to software milestones, ordered in their position this week: LittleBigPlanet 2 (PS3) passes the 500,000 mark, Kinect Adventures! (X360) reaches 8 million, Wii Fit Plus passes 28 million, Wii Party reaches 5 million, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood (PS3) reaches 3 million, and New Super Mario Bros. (DS) passes 25 million. No games sold over 500,000, the top three sold over 200,000, the top nine sold over 100,000 and the top 27 sold over 50,000.

I cant believe that Kinect Adventures is still in the top 10. What a trashy game. Anyways its good to see that Dead Space is doing great plus nice to see LBP2 in there as well. I always take VGs numbers with a grain of salt. I was expecting Deadspace 2 to sell more on the PS3 looks like i was proven wrong.

In saying if Kinect adventures passes 8 million, is that 8 million Kinect's sold due to the fact it's bundled with the camera.

And we will again have XB360 outselling the PS3 according to VGC and at the end - suddenly adjustments why PS3 outsold XB360 over the total period while being outsold every month...

I dont how nintendo does it, theres 2 consoles that supports HD but the wii is still ahead in sales since last year.
