This review is probably the best review I have read. The review stating flat out "ME2 is not that good, don't buy it" shows he has balls. Finally someone willing to tell the readers the truth and not be sucking on Bioware's teet.

Nate-Dog4824d ago

Just because the reviewer doesn't like the game that much (which I'm guessing you don't either) = good review?

I, like a lot of other people, think ME2 is a great game, but I guess that means that all of those reviews and reviewers that agree with me are rubbish and poor.

XMBeaner4824d ago

Are you suggesting that an opinion about an opinion can be wrong? Just because you disagree with me doesn't make you correct. You see what I did there? Probably not. Sounds like it's a you problem.

ediddy9994824d ago

I totally agree with you and this XMeaner guy needs to chill out.

Nate-Dog4824d ago (Edited 4824d ago )

@XMBeaner: I don't believe I said that my opinion was correct, or that yours was wrong mind you. I said that your comment suggested that just because this review (or reviewer) disliked Mass Effect 2, it was a good review. In that sense, if that is correct, then you're saying all reviews that say ME2 is a good game (or reviews that talk up the game) are bad reviews.

I won't stick in a smart little remark at the end of this comment asking if you saw what I did there though considering my original reply didn't make any sort of ambiguous reply about whether your opinion is correct or incorrect (since an opinion is an opinion after all).

XMBeaner4824d ago

I see what you did there by not adding a smart little remark at the end with a smart little remark at the end. I'm not falling into this troll trap so move along to your next victim.

Nate-Dog4824d ago

Good lad, he spotted it!

i like the mature argument going on here, real life adults that disagree on n4g.com and talk it out.

XMBeaner ends with: "I'm not falling into this troll trap so move along to your next victim."

He was never apart of that mature argument he tried to frame Nates argument and when that failed he ran away.

Any way, I htink I'm gonna go back the Mass Effect 2 since the KZ3 beta is giving me connection issues. ME2 is a great game BTW.

otherZinc4824d ago

Anyone giving Mass Effect 2 on any system a grade lower than a 9 is a Friggin Idiot!

ediddy9994824d ago

This review is insane and most reductive piece of trash I have read in a long time. Try again because you failed.

RememberThe3574824d ago

Well said. This review blows...

Red96Cobra4824d ago

Worst review ever.... having said that this review is still better than MAG

Redempteur4824d ago

VERY BAd review everything is overgeneralized ... not thanks

XMBeaner4824d ago

You are obviously overgeneralizing your comments on this review. Nice try troll.

Redempteur4824d ago (Edited 4824d ago )

Just like you have the right to say that it's
"the best review you've read" ( LOL ) i have the right to voice my opinion as well .

or is yours a divine opinion i'm not ( yet ) aware of ?

XMBeaner4824d ago

@Redempteur don't blame me because your opinion is wrong.

Kran4824d ago

The problem with the PS3 version (so this is coming from somebody who has played both versions), there are a couple of scenes that go out of sync. It never happened with the 360 version for me, personally. Anybody else had the problem? A great game, yes. This was the only problem thats occured with me on the PS3 version.

InfiniteJustice4824d ago

I've never had a scene go out of sync but there have been times when dialogue will cut out or characters faces will stop moving while talking. Same problem I suppose, just on a lesser scale. Can be annoying but with a game as good as ME2 I can't bring myself to judge it

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

SimpleSlave14d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave13d ago (Edited 13d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
