GameSpot: Two Worlds II Review

Great writing, memorable characters, and beautiful visuals could have taken Two Worlds II to the next level, but even without them, there is enough combat and mission variety to keep you busy and happy for dozens of hours. If you long for a bit of old-world flavor, you'd do best to overlook the ragged edges and allow Antaloor to work its magic on you.

I'm saving Two Worlds for a playthrough in June - August. With Killzone 3, Dragon Age 2, Crysis 2, and Mass Effect 2 to play in the next few months I don't have time for a massive RPG on top of it all. Two Worlds will just have to wait until the slower summer months, but I look forward to it.

Well I don't know about you, but I put 50 hours into Mass Effect 2 and still have not done everything so I would say you have a massive RPG already on your plate.

I've been playing it for about 15 hours now, and I can say that it is a fine wRPG. Get through the first 2 hours (bad tutorial), and then it opens up. Think of it as a campy "B-Movie" and you will have a blast with it.

Sure there are some technical issues, but no more than any game from Bethesda or other headliners. Really, Bethesda gets a free pass on technical issues, with their games crashing all the time, but Two Worlds 2 with a few frame rate issues and other minor things gets hammered...just something to think about. (Btw, you can command code alot of this off like no grass, no fog, no blur...the internet can tell you how to do this)

This guy rags on the story a bit too harshly...its at least standard fare and mildly entertaining.

I'm having a lot of fun with this game...and the humor is pretty good. I've heard a Monty Python reference, Ghostbusters, FightClub, Brokeback Mountian (yes, thats right...Brokeback Mountian).

Here it is....If you need an RPG to play before Dragon Age 2, this game will fill that void...If you can wait, then its certainly worth between 30-40 bucks.
