The Easy Company have been working behind closed doors on its debut title for the past 14 months, an all-terrain off-road racer entitled Motorm4x for the PC. Motorm4x is a non-formulaic racing-title that lets players drive and explore large outdoor terrains in a variety of SUV and off-road vehicles featuring simulated GPS and 4WD functions including player-controlled axle-locking, 4 wheel drive and GPS pathfinding.
Games32 writes: "From the demo version I felt that the game was pretty polished and the full version will bring nothing new in terms of production. But more game content. This time I was able to play on all three locations which feature various climate and weather conditions. Every location is represented by a quite huge area which is delimited by artificial obstacles (such as mountains) or by invisible walls. Unlike 1NSANE, they didn't use the rotation effect, of exiting the map in one point and enter on the other side of the map on the opposite point. The first location is a classic Alpine region with green woods and rocky trails, a prefect location for 4x4 vehicles."
Games32 writes: "MOTORM4X is an off-road racing game which emphasizes the driving aspect in the detriment of full speed races so common these days. It's all about the control of your vehicle on high-difficulty off-road surfaces. At the moment the game features three environmental areas: Alpine (alpine pastures and green forests), Arctic Circle (snow and ice), and Canyon (rocky surface with sand banks).
In the demo tested here we were able to drive only on the so-called Canyon (at least this is how we called it) area full of rocks and red sand. Although the game uses two high-tech graphics engines (Vampire Graphics Engine and Ogre Engine), we weren't extremely hypnotized by the graphics of this area. Probably it's simplicity is the case, but as we saw in the official InGame videos, the other areas look much better. Using the SPEEDTREE license, areas like Alpine and Arctic Circle feature hundreds of different trees which can increase the complexity but also the beauty of the area."

Judging by the ones whose gearsticks I've fiddled with recently I'd say that MotorM4x seems fairly unexceptional, but then I enjoy staying on the road and driving my truck while listening to Creedence, so who am I to say?"

It seems like, in addition to racing, you will be able to freely explore the world. Reminds me Midnight Club in the woods with GPS path finding hinting at having to find your own route to the finish. I'm disappointed they aren't developing it for consoles (at least according to the news section) as playing racers with only a keyboard is never as fun. Looks good so far, but like anything else I'll have to wait for more info before judgment.
