TGE: What would Isaac Clarke have to say if someone told him that everything thing he had gone through in Dead Space 2 was just a video game, akin to Jim Carrey in The Truman Show? Here's what we think he'd have to say:
......What? You're telling me all that was a video game!? Of course it was. You people are fu****** un-believable. I thought the Unitologists were bad, but now I'm finding out that millions of people are making me run around in a damn nightmare that was concocted by some lunatic; all while being hacked apart limb from limb for the sake of someone else's entertainment. I thought video games were just used to teach kids math by making virtual penguins jump onto icebergs with the correct answers on them. Just, just give me a second. Maybe it's not such a bad thing. I wondered if anyone would ever be able to understand what I experienced and, well, I guess some of you do now. Things are actually starting to make a lot of sense...
I wondered why the PA system on the Spra...
EA has shut down rumors that EA Motive considered a Dead Space 2 remake before shelving it due to low sales of the previous game, saying there's "no validity" to the reports.
Why not remake DS2 whether shot down or not it's still my favorite game next to DS1. As much as I hate EA I would buy or would have bought DS2 day one.
No validity XD "Guys guys, we cant possible make a good game or cater to the gamers wants, stop"
I don't know if sales met their expectations or not. I just know that the high review scores received my attention so I was interested in buying it, but its price stayed high (50+ bucks) for so long that I simply never bothered picking it up.
Nameer from eXputer: "Dead Space 2 is a sequel that delivers such a feast that by the time you're done, you're not only full but also satisfied."
Hope they remake this one too. Just like they did with number 1. The remake of Dead Space 1 was perfection
thanks to the digital pass for it it was not perfect..in fact its difficult to find a working copy since many years.
Today Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson provided a look into his ideas for the use of generative AI in the company's development processes.
EA is still a shady shitty company even with or without the help of Skynet. All they will use AI for is new ways to milk loot boxes and come up with the same sports title with a different year on the label. They are one company I truly do hate with a passion. They single handedly ruined some great franchise with their death touch. ME, Dead Space, Alice Returns, Dante's Inferno.
EA layoffs followed by 'Generative AI to Drive Monetization'
I knew it. Wonder what AI salary looks like? Nothing.
And take away creativity, and people's jobs as we've been seeing. Got it.
No thanks. I want my games created by people, not AI.
EA doesn't want to lose their title of worst gaming company ever, always trying their best to remain the champs!
What's sad is that they have so much potential to be a decent publisher.
SSX Tricky / SSX 3
Def Jam Vendetta / Fight for New York
NBA Street
NFL Steet
Mirror's Edge
Bad Company
Burnout 3 / 4 / 5
Remember when EA used to be awesome? It's all over with now. Unpolished, if not out-right broken games these days. Endless monetization and gambling in their sports games, and let's not forget wasting hours of your life trying to unlock characters or equipment using "surprise boxes!"
Hahaha... Interesting take on an awesome game. If they ever create a Dead Space movie we can look back and see how it compares to Isaac's perspective here.
Downfall doesn't actually have Isaac in it (if I remember correctly). It shows the beginning of the outbreak on Aegis 7 like a prequel. I didn't like it that much and I hope that the Aftermath movie is a good bit better.
The Truman Show is my favorite movie lol
