PSLS: To find out more about Journey, we spoke with Kellee Santiago, President and Co-Founder of thatgamecompany, as part of our PSN 2011 Preview Week coverage.
This game is absolutely stunning. Though you should expect nothing less when thatgamecompany's stamp is on it.
thatgamecompany is absolutely awesome
"As gamers ourselves, Jenova and I were recognizing in our own play styles that the kinds of games that used to entertain us weren’t as engaging anymore. We no longer had time for 40+ hours of gameplay, but we wanted something more intellectually and emotionally stimulating than the typical casual game." I feel the same way.
@ ComboBreaker I'm in the same boat. And over the years I find that I enjoy shorter more impactful titles over drawn out experiences. Last really long game I was able to complete was Oblivion. And looking back, I'd never be able to do so now. I just don't have the time.
WOW. They made Journey with only 12 people. Son, I am impressed.
These guys always come up with something completely original and out of left field. I can't wait to find out every small detail I can.
Cool. I want to see this liquid sand.
Easily my most anticipated PSN game this year. I can not wait to get my hands on it.
thatgamecompany is easily one of the most amazing development studios this gen, and certainly one of my favorites.
Can't wait until this is released. Having a game like this ready on your hard drive when you need a break from 'conventional' gaming is brilliant
That's exactly what I love about downloadable games
This and Last Guardian will make my 2011 complete.
A 2011 release would be marvelous but i have my doubts. And journey looks interesting too. Never been one to find beauty in nature but flower was one fine game.
these guys are like the team ICO of the PSN. ??
yh kinda their games are amazing but slightly different to team ico less conventional i would say
I meant more in an emotional way, thier games are quiet simple but emote a lot of feelings in the player, i think its a mixture of things, level design, music ect. i dont know really but it feels that way to me.
They are, each game is just a pleasure to play.
