Shadowlocked - Never mind the level editors - there's a new kid on the block...
I still don't understand what the appeal for the game is
Best example is: "Lego" Although i've never even played
Same here. When the Alpha was released, my first thought was "That looks boring as holy hell...who in their right mind would play this for hours on end?" Then, I decided to test out my theory and play the game for a few hours...I had to force myself to continue. That's just my PERSONAL OPINION, if you like the game then power to you, but I really can't wrap my head around why it's so successful, seems like a massive waste of time to me. Numbers don't lie though, I guess I'm just being ignorant to other peoples interests.
What got me into it was watching "Let's play" series on youtube. The game can be boring at first if you don't have a goal or don't know what you're doing (not saying that was your case).
All games are a waste of time. As for its appeal. I've no idea. It reminds me of the Civ series, where I think "Ok, I'll just do this one thing and then quit the game and do something else.", but half-way through, I think of something else to do, and then something else, and 8 hours fly by just like that. =/
The game is incredibly boring if you don't give yourself some awesome thing to build. Once you do, it's the best thing ever. I built the 4th arcology from Sim City 2000. Doing the glass dome was a blast and it looks bad ass from a distance.
Played this game for like 100 hours soon. Only for creative minds.
Exactly. If thinking that knife kills in cod is creative, you won't like this game. Your imagination is stunted.
