GameZebo - Spartacus: Gods of the Arena is the latest attempt by a major television studio to make a successful Facebook tie-in game, and predictably this virtual fighter largely follows the safe formula laid down by previous titles of the same ilk.
Forbes -- Unfortunately, the hit Starz TV series, Spartacus, is coming to an end this season. In addition to the glistening gladiators battling to the death with gallons of gore and innovative dismemberment, along with a healthy dose of sex and nudity; fans have been able to engage with this franchise through an assortment of mobile, Facebook and online video games.
For this final season, Spartacus: War of the Damned has partnered with Ubisoft for a downloadable console fighting game, Spartacus Legends. In addition, the TV network has unleashed a social game, Battle For Nuceria (www.battlefornuceria.com), which offers new ways for fans to connect with the show that was created by Steven S. DeKnight (watch video below).
SAN DIEGO — Starz Entertainment has always embraced video games since the inception of Steven S. DeKnight’s hit TV series, “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” took the world by storm. There have been two Facebook games and a mobile game to give fans a chance to further experience the gory gladiator carnage that literally paints the screen red in the violent TV series. Now fans are getting the first full-on game from Ubisoft and developer Kung Fu Factory, Spartacus Legends.
