let me get this out the way. let me justify the possible price of 300-350.

why i believe it should be priced at 349.99:

the play station 3 is 299.99

in essence, the NGP is a play station 3 console you can take with you, anywhere.

that alone is worth more money then the ps3 itself.

by the time the NGP comes out, expect a ps3 price cut to 249.99 and NGP sitting nicely at 299.99.

after all, its a brand new system.

im saving up as we speak ;)

Then could you justify the 3DS's price because I can't.
I want you to do it the way you just did the NGP.

You forgot one fact. If the NGP is a PS3 you could take with you, then the cost of fitting all of that high tech stuff into a hand held device will be more expensive.

SasanovaS19872458d ago

ur forgetting the technology gets less expensive with time. its been about good 5 years? since the ps3 launched. about this time has even better tech for about the same price. by the time it launches, it will be just enough

the PS3 technology in it's original large PS3 size is cheap. However, shrink it down to the size of a portable device and it's not as cheap.

Plus there's the fact that this thing has a 5" OLED attached to it which adds a decent amount to production costs.

From Nintendo... + $150
3D Technology... + $100
= $250

How many more announcement articles are there going to be?

Let's suppose the NGP controls are successful because games utilize the rear touch screen in imaginative and innovating ways.

Would you like a Daulshock (4) to have a rear touch panel somehow to be replicated in home consoles (maybe for ps4)?
