Top Ten Nintendo Handheld Debuts Part 1 – Advance Wars to Nintendogs

3DSTribe writes:

Nintendo have supplied us with some unforgettable gaming experiences over the years, but this top ten list will concentrate on the times when a famous Nintendo franchise first hit handheld consoles.

With the upcoming Nintendo 3DS set to offer some handheld debuts of its own – such as old fan favourite Pilotwings, alongside a new IP Steel Diver – we take a look back to the days where other franchises made their first appearances on the handhelds of the past.

Whether the franchise made a successful transition from home console to handheld, or whether it was actually conceived and born for its respective handheld, we remember ten of the finest in alphabetical order. Here’s the first five: (3DS, Advance Wars 2, Casual games, Culture, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mobile, Nintendo, Nintendo DS, Nintendogs, Retro, Tech)
