Good morning, world! if you're just waking up to news of Sony's new handheld gaming platform, here's a handy cheat sheet to get you started.
Looks like a great device. Very appealing IMO, but I'm still not getting it. Its going to be priced at $250 at the very least. With that money I could buy: Uncharted 3 Mortal Kombat Yakuza 4 Batman: Arkham City and Infamous 2 I'd rather play new games than rehashes of old ones(Uncharted, Killzone, LBP). I wish Sony luck with this great little device though. It's going to be hard for the average American consumer to justify spending possibly $300 to carry around this bulky device when they can just buy a PS3 that doubles as a Blu-Ray Player and already has a large exclusive library of games.
Sony has always been creating new IP's and the NGP should be no different. The price should be around the same as other similar techs out in the market now. How much do you think people spend on top of the line cell phones? You think smart phones are cheap? Yet they are the most popular phones and I rarely see anyone that doesn't have one. This is not a device you would looking to get your 8 year old nephew but something a working adult would want for themselves. This is for the consumer who wants the best portable gaming device on the market. Look at the 3DS, its going to be 250, that's more expensive than the wii yet it will sell. Somethings aren't for everyone. If YOU want a portable gaming device for want it for cheap than download some games on your cell phone or buy the current psp or nintendo ds which should not be too expensive. I want top of the line and around 300 sounds reasonable to me so - will be getting this as many other tech and game enthusiast like me will.
i have seen the Uncharted live stage demo and it looked very , very i mean very impressive for a handheld device , im really liking the way you are supposed to play Little Deviants, loving all the new features , Near , Trophies , Friends , and more , but the thing that really stood out for me was when Hideo said he is working on a game that you will be able to start on your ps3 and then continue it on the go on NGP then come back home and keep playing it on your ps3 ( that alone sold me ) i didnt need much convincing since i was already impressed with everything i saw and all specs but that feature alone is awesome , really awesome in my eyes , portable handheld gaming here i come !!!!
Ok I have a question, is the UI on the NGP going to replace the XMB for the PS3 as well?
doubt it...when was the last time you saw an update to the XMB for the PS3...majority of updates this past year have been to beef up security
In one country on this world They sell just Kinect than 230$ So prefer to order it from amazon and iPhone 4 than 1000$ I wonder how much psp2 will be
This is one of the most worthless articles I've ever read! Kotaku should be ashamed. It's as though they had some d-bag locked in a dungeon and forced them to come up with "something" to get released. How else would they post such worthless BS? Shame on you, Kotaku! I want real information, not stuff I've read in 3324 other articles in the past day and a half! Also, I clicked on the gears icon and then "info" and it said 7/7! What happened to the 10/10 needed for approval?
