Sony's new UI for the NGP is the star of the PlayStation Meeting. It makes the PS3's UI look prehistoric.
Crazy, hope it has a practical use in the states though >_<
Most of it. This Near thing doesn't seem like it'll fly stateside.
However, the L thing will fly stateside.
it's for the PS3 too
Sony will always be solidified in my mind they are on all cylinders right now
wonder if the ps3 will get a fresh new xmb update to go with the psp2 release xD i still think they should remove 'Live' from this things name.. just from a business standpoint, what with LIVE being associated with xbox and windows phone.. either way i can not wait for this xD
Really cool feature.
yea, im gonna miss the xmb, but this had to happen folks. and im glad. EDIT: HOLY F**K! KOJIMA IS ON STAGE AND THEY"RE DEMOING MGS4 ON IT! EDIT: HERE WE GO, CALL OF DUTY CONFIRMED FOR NGP
LiveArea seems to be optimized for touch input. I can imagine, that with most live tiles, you will more than likely "touch" to select. Its more intuitive, although I share your sentiments.
I'm guessing you have to be the pope to see this thing live... ....Does know the pope count for anything?
Yeah, it looks as though the NGP is set up so that ports from the PS3 are fairly straightforward to do. Epic said that it only took them a week to port a game they are working on with the ps3 to the ngp. They also said that it is fairly compatible with the unreal engine everyone uses.
This is great, hopefully we get HD official trailers up and running soon. This live stream blurriness is killing my eyes.
if this comes to PS3 in a future firmware it would be epic!! imagine playing your mates at uncharted from ur NGP to their PS3??? *faints*
KOjIMA ON STAGE! BRING SOME WATER I'M GONNA FAINT!
no XMB :(? but i hope u can convert back to XMB.
Meh. I already have a PS3 so I have no need for a NGP when it's just full of downgraded ports of old PS3 games. I'll be getting the 3DS instead.
There always has to be one. The thing hasn't even released it is the first showing and already this guy knows that all the games will be nothing more than downgraded ports of old PS3 games. Man are you alright? I am not saying that the possiblity does not exist but at this point your comment seems like pure FUD. If this is a huge issue for you the 3DS might not be the right choice for you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wik... EDIT: No one knows if this thing will be good or bad yet. I am just excited for the possibilities.
I think your writing it off a little too soon, you think? Also, what makes you think that 3DS won't have its share of console ports? Look at any N64 remake being released for the 3DS... Handhelds are much more powerful this gen, and both will be awesome. With that being said, the games will control differently if not look much differently from the consoles of today. Thats not a bad thing in my book.
and 3DS has old N64 games. Which isn't a bad thing since I love Ocarina of Time and Star Fox. Will get 3DS and NGP/PSP2.
lol blindfromthesun beat me to it, the irony of Deathstroke's statement.
Why in the hell would you even write a comment on the new NGP if you don't like it. Let me give you some advice get lost troll, if you don't like it just leave or don't even write a comment saying how shit it is.
GTFO, this thread isn't for you.
You, sir, sully the name of Slade Wilson's alter ego.
Love it to come in-game on ps3 instead of in game XMB thats embarrassingly slow.
oh damn Epic games is on stage
It would be pretty sweet if Infinity Blade was announced for NGP. Thats the first thing that came to mind.
idk about this Livearea thing. I like the XMB's classy look.
im happy for trophy sopport
DEAR SONY YOU JUST KILLED MY WALLET OVER 9000 TIMES SINCERELY, ME
Hahahaha! I love reading comments like this on N4G. :D
i missed kojima on stage but theres some other rpg showing now.
poor NDS, they should just cancel it and save themselves the embarrassment
both devices have strong points ..but this time sony came FULL FORCE to gain victory .. this will be a very tough fight ..
Did Sony just turn it around? Will their next portable meet success outside of Japan? I'm looking forward to seeing if they can do it.
