ROQ gots the first video of the demonstration
Remember to view the source link for complete information, as well as more images and video of the NGP (PSP 2.)
good video. hopefully tomorrow there should be better quality ones
That video is garbage. I love seeing this thing, but I want to actually see it. Anyway the NGP is a monster device. I should have expected this much but Sony has me speechless right now.
Uncharted PSP Video! http://www.youtube.com/watc... Even with the crappy quality, you can tell this is the Next Gen Portable All these features make me want this. The question now, is the price...
Perfect timing from Sony I was all set to buy a 3ds but now I think I'll save my money for this beauty!! @ dormin thanks for the vid looks fantastic!
What type of games will it be using, UMD, cd, download only or what? Release date and price would be cool as well. So far I like what I see I just hope it is not just downloadable games and these videos are blah you can barely hear anything.
That's a great idea. You can actually see the screen when you touch something. Screw the stylus on DS because i'd lose that thing.
Watch vids at bottom of page!!!! http://www.gamekudos.com/ne...
Am I the only one that thinks they should ditch the touch pad on the back? It would lower costs and I just can't see too many devs making full use of it. Most developers for the Nintendo DS are still having trouble making full use of the touch pad, without it feeling like a gimmick or making it feel like it was added at the last moment. I say get rid of it and you can drop the price a bit more.
Is anyone not really liking the idea of using the touch pad in games? Im hoping the traditonal control scheme will still be able to be used in all games. I don't know, I guess I'll have to try it out for myself before I pass judgement.
I want this gaming device ASAP!!!!! NGP FTW!!!
PSP2 day 1 purchase. And a call of duty game with it i'll bury underground and play forever!
This thing is revolutionary, where does 3DS stand now? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL, total network capabilities, 3G, wifi, blututh...omg fucking godmompop
PSP2 says 3DS eat 3DEEPSHIT!
Doesnt a Iphone do all that? with 4G?
@Theyellowflash30 I never knew the Iphone had games that were close to PS3 graphics?! I leaned something new today :/
@Theyellowflash30 No, iPhone does not support 4G yet and neither does AT&T. They are currently in the plans of putting up 4G though.
Theyellowflash...did you even saw that press on engadget?...lol and people comparing NGP to future phones, by looking at its capabilities at the fact of all the ps2 games playable out there. Psp2 won this already, sry nintendo, when u come with a better idea than 3D which is not by far in the same level as what the DS was in its prime, anyway, open new place to the portable king LOL. Now capcom for god sake, port all the resident evil ASAP, damn it. How can u compare even iphone to this thing? http://www.blogcdn.com/www.... Jerking off right now
@theyellowflash don't get me wrong I love my iPhone but I can see me selling it to get one of these - the problem with gaming on iPhone is touch screen only controls make even the simplest tasks stupidly difficult!!

Iv mentioned this before, and I'll mention this again... no 3.5mm headphone port? Its not listed nor is there a clear image of it on the device. Maybe the new connection port will be for the headphone port.
They would never leave a 3.5mm headphone port out. It's pretty much implied.
4 Cores. That's all I have to say.
That's cool. Now tell me the price. NAOW! @Below Me too.
I'm concerned about the battery life too
Yeah Kaz has is plugged in during the whole demonstration
Thats my biggest concern. But I game at home anyway so it's not that big of a deal for me.
Purpose, you have been defeated by RememberThe357.
Yeah the battery life won't be hugely impressive, but who cares man? Most people aren't going to be playing it on the go for more than a couple hours. Most people play their portable on the couch, truth be honest. A CoD game on the PSP2 will guarantee sales for the device, that and an Uncharted and Killzone and Metal Gear Solid games, etc. etc. There will be killer games on the PSP2. Guaranteed!
Should be better than the previous PSP battery life since they did away with the UMD format. Keeping that little disc spinning was a big drain of battery life.
@teedogg80 very very very good point. +Bubs
But with that savings in battery they just crammed in more power. I'll buy an extended battery anyways for those long trips. Wish it could have been out by this summer for when I go to Hawaii. Long ass flight.
Spelling words like "naow" is stupid.
It's because he's gone crazy from how amazing it looks.
