Top 5 Video Game Sequels

Mass Effect 2 has finally made it's way over to the PS3 and the reaction couldn't be greater. Not only is this a great game, it's something more that sometimes is hard to come by in the video game world. And that is a great sequel. But what makes a game a sequel? It can't just be another game in the series, it has to continue on the story line. It also has to improve on the mechanics already set in place from the previous installment. Mass Effect does all this and then some. So in honor of its release, we present the top 5 sequels in video games. There are a few rules on how to make the list. First, the game has to be a sequel, obviously. So Final Fantasy VII does not count but Final Fantasy X-2 does. And second, it has to be the second installment of the group. Meaning Mario Galaxy 2 can count being the second installment of the Mario Galaxy Franchise.

Should have gotten game of the year! HOWEVER, Red Dead is still a great game.

Still don't know why Uncharted 2 didn't make it, in my opinion the most improved sequel ever

Quagmire4844d ago (Edited 4844d ago )

Most improved sequel is Assassins Creed 2.

Uncharted DF was great to begin with.

I preferred the first Uncharted by far. Second was a big disappointment for me. I think I got burned so much I probably wont buy the third. I would hardly say it was the most improved sequel ever, very far from it.

Is it possible to say "it" more times in one paragraph?

ME2 is an improvement on the first game. I am just getting scared because I am 11 hours in and it feels like the game could be coming to an end. I hope that I am delusional and way off base but the first game seemed much longer than that. I haven't got all the characters yet but the dossiers left are like 2. Am I missing something? I hope for a plot twist. Great game though in all honesty alot better designed than ME1. The mining is not even bothering me. I upgraded and and now I am loaded with minerals. The game is good though man. Well done Bioware.

Are you on the first or second set of dossiers? The ones with Jack and Grunt, or the ones with Samara and Thane? Also, are you doing all of their loyalty missions, and are you exploring all the planets? There's pretty much a planet to land on in every star cluster. And are you skipping all the text or actually listening and talking and exploring locations like the Citadel and Illium? On your first playthrough if you are exploring everything, doing all side missions and talking to everybody, the game should be about 30-40 hours.

My only advice is to explore the entire galaxy and do everything you want to do BEFORE you do the quest to get the reaper IFF if you are playing as a good character.

Thanks for the advice Darkfiber. Jack and Grunt is where I'm at. I have Kasumi, Zaheed, Garrus, Jake and Melinda who is not going to sleep with me if I keep hating on Cerberus LOL! I digress. Looks like I'm on the right track and far from over. Going for Liara to make sure I sleep with someone before its all said and done. Again thanks!

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
