Neocrisis: I had the pleasure of playing the Woody Two-Legs: Attack of the Zombie Pirates demo. Woody Two-Legs: Attack of the Zombie Pirates is a casual score chasing arcade shooter. The game is played with either your keyboard or gamepad controller. The main character of the game is named Woody Two-Legs and as you can guess, he is a pirate with two wooden peg legs.
In my humble opinion, the "zombie pirate" setting is a vastly underappreciated setting in today's video games. There are plenty of zombies, and a few pirates on top of that, but I can't think of very many games from recent times that combine the two. Thankfully, Paradox Interactive is picking up the ball in this department, with their recent release of Woody Two-Legs: Attack of the Zombie Pirates. Is this combination a match made in heaven, or does this game fall flat?
Mana Pool: I’ll just break it in with my main criteria: Woody Two-Legs and the Pirate Zombies is rather short. That said, it’s only £3.49 on Steam, and so I must say it’s still a very good value game. The main reason is that its initial difficulty, and the ability to increase the difficulty as you get better allows you to replay the game a couple of times while remaining challenged.
Aaarrggghhh! Me hearties, brace the main sail, show ye colours and blow the man down, the scurvy lily-livered landlubber. And that's about all I can do for now, I'll leave the rest of the pirate-isms for Cap'n Woody Two-legs and his crew of swarthy buccaneers. This delightful little game is brought to us by those nice folks at Paradox Interactive and Nitro Games who seem to have the knack of coming up with a host of great story lines and games.
