IGN: The Year of The Legend of Zelda

It seems only fitting that a banner year for Zelda would include a remake of one of its finest games. Though seemingly not a launch game for the system, the 3DS version of Ocarina will likely be the best iteration of the classic that earned a perfect score from IGN.

The story is too old to be commented.

Majora's Mask was my personal favorite, I hope it comes to the 3DS.

i don't like this remake. i like orcana of time how it is.

blocky characters and all.

StbI9902527d ago

So? wouldn't you like to be able to play it on the go as well?...shame

TheLeprachaun2527d ago

MM is easily my favourite too. Glad to find someone who actually agrees. :D

ChickeyCantor2527d ago (Edited 2527d ago )

I love MM as well, but i hope that IF they do a remake; they patch it up and make it more like twilight princes visual wise.

The whole setting fits with a dark tint perfectly ( and im not talking about some brown-filter)

Skyward Sword will be awesome.

xXxSeTTriPxXx2527d ago

every zelda game i've played is awesome

TroyAndAbed2527d ago

I'm really debating Skyward Sword.

If the name "Zelda" wasn't slapped on it, it would look like a really crappy game.

xXxSeTTriPxXx2527d ago

zelda isn't known for combat or whatever you've seen in a 5min gameplay demo.it's known for great peacing, level design and the best puzzles in gaming.the boss battles are on the easy side but they still have a epic feel.

a true zelda fan knows what to expect from a zelda game.

TroyAndAbed2527d ago

Then a "true Zelda fan" has low expectations. The puzzles in Zelda aren't challenging. The pacing is irrelevant because the story is practically non-existent. Why can't they give us a good story? The boss battles aren't epic. They're boring. The bosses in Twilight Princess were total rip-offs.

ChickeyCantor2527d ago

" The bosses in Twilight Princess were total rip-offs."

List them.

wind waker was the best and they need to make a sequel without cell shading.

Sequel, Yes

Without cell shading, No

Why not a remake of a 2D zelda? like Link to the past...

There is an undeniable trend towards retro games...why dont developers take it into consideration?

just imagine new 2D games like Zelda, Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy...

Its just so depressing.

theEx1Le2527d ago

I'm pretty sure that if they remade the 2d games they would use the minish cap/phantom hourglass style engine and imo that wouldn't suit the older games. I could be wrong, and i hope i am but my opinion.

laaakokaracha2527d ago

Most probably they would.I dont like how the classify link to be young and a child whenever toon is used

Cladun showed how it could be done but that was more of a NES retro.

why not supernintendo retro

ChickeyCantor2527d ago

Windwaker style would fit perfectly with link to the past.

And the stylish gameplay isn't bad, but sometimes i wish i could just use the d-pad.
