I haven't used this controller yet, is it any good?
Wait for the Razer xbox 360 controller. Its better and its going to also be cheaper.
I might have to look into that razer controller then, I can't play SSF4 with the standard controller. update: I just looked at that controller, and I'm loving it. The d-pad looks much improved, when's the release date?
In my opinion, the controller is excellent. Easily the best iteration of the 360 controller yet. What a lot of people don't tell you about is the textured surface of the pad. It's not rubber "grippy", but it's got a nice feel. But the next texture on the sticks is like music to my thumbs. Most importantly, the d-pad is vastly improved.
Why did they remove the colour from the face buttons?
Because core gamers know where the buttons are. They don't need the colors.
is the damn thing still $65? havnt tried it but want it, just not at that price!
Cheapest I've seen is $45 at NewEgg (w/ free shipping), which is not bad with the play & charge kit included, although I'm sure the price will go down more eventually.
newegg! thanks for info... thats a good price!
$45 with free shipping on amazon as well at the moment
Controller + Play & Charge kit = $70 'Transforming D-Pad" controller bundle w/ play &charge kit= $65 Yup, sure is a bad deal... /s
Still havnt removed that atrocius battery pack i see.
Doesn't bother me. Doesn't bother the vast majority of people. Only seems to bother you. You're looking to hate on something...
Wrong!! The inclusion of the battery pack (which raises the price) has pissed off people since it was announced. Major Nelsons blog was full of complaints about this from day one of the announcement. Also, the only thing different about this controller from previous releases is the D pad. There is a lot of false claims that other parts are improved. And over all, the new D pad isn't much of an improvement.
At least it's the same price as a normal 360 controller.
