Hackers take a closer look at GT5's game saves. GTPlanet shows how it could dramatically change the game.
Hackers start to piss me off! Sooner or later, Hackers will be more evil then Bobby Kotick and Bin laden combined.
Bobby Kotick and Bin laden don't even try to hide the fact that they are bad. But Peter Molyneux is truly evil. He pretends to be your friend, promises you the world. Then.....you know the rest.
Truly evil? If this doesn't get reported as offensive, trolling and off topic I'm going to eat my foot
WOW! The homebrew keeps coming!! /sarcasm Was this what these hackers wanted all along?! To put a double sized tire in a small car?! Is that fun in anyway possible?! What satisfaction do you get when you win a race and you know you´re cheating?! I honestly dont get it... its beyond comprehension... I hope SONY gets these bastards in court and makes them go to jail for a couple of years. Maybe they will crack the soap effect while leaning down in the showers or maybe hack the prison security system and escape. Now that would be a feat! ;)
EAT YOUR FOOT! :O
peter molyneux a douche, he hypes up features of a game that are just useless and downgraded e.g co-op, the stupid dog, interacting with npc
@The Meerkat: No, Creationists are the only true evil IMO. Right now I see that game breaking hacks and piracy is merely collateral damage of the overwhelming urge to bring freedom and prosperity(homebrew and other os) to the PS3. /s
i swear if the GT5 online turn into a cheat fest like COD im reporting every fag i see cheating
Hackers - skill-less noobs that need to cheat and make the odds in their favor and usually still end up losing by terms of bans or other means that make them cry and pout even more. Cure - kick them out of the basement or put them in jail.
Nothing wrong with modding a game as long as you dont go online and ruin it for other people. Sony need to block psn acess asap, i wont judge people who pirate, as i have bought countless second hand games, but if you go online and ruin for people who bought the game then you are indeed a bad person.
My God some of you people need to just STFU with the crying already. As others have pointed out, there's nothing wrong with hacks so long as they don't ruin games for others. Obviously you will have a few jackasses annoying the online community with their creations but as far as messing around offline, sometimes it's just fun to tinker with things in an attempt to see what you can come up with. Launching quads using AT Mines in Bad Company 2 isn't exactly playing the game as it was intended to be played but WGAF when it's so damn fun?
@ChristianGamer please start eating your foot now!
Well I wont be having any problems with this as i'll only be playing with friends&family in private matches. I don't have time or patience to deal with douche bag people who just want to cheat or generally ruin the experience for others.
On the next console, I'm sure Sony will think twice about allowing Homebrew. Another thing that will have to change is how the games are hosted. Sony will need to move away from clients to client host, to a client to dedicated server host platform. Blizzard went through the same issues with hackers and they would patch patch patch but realized it was pointless.
That was a developer decision. Sony usually use dedicated servers for their games, this is one of the very few times the developer decided not to do this. As far as 'hacking' GT5 for online play, it won't happen. It's very easy to detect if a person is playing a pirated copy of the game (which is required in order to modify game code since code is on the disc) and ban that account. So, if this ever happened, it would only be useful for single-player experiences. Sony can detect and ban in the exact same way Microsoft does. They collect your PSN ID, PS3 digital signature, game's digital signature, and location of the game file. They then use this information to determine if the game is pirated (the last part being the most vital sign of such a thing) and then easily ban the PS3 digital signature and PSN ID of the user. So, if there's going to be piracy and game code hacking, it won't be online.
God help this world if companies and nations start to give into demands of every persistent criminal, thinking that they'll just magically go away. They won't, that's why they don't.
Yea, because Sony did not try to appease the homebrew crowd by allowing OtherOS? Lol, Sony gave them OtherOS and they turned their backs on Sony and still tried to hack and mod it further in order to gain full control of the PS3. Why do you think Sony took out OtherOS?
FCUK HACKERS!!! It's for these jerks that now Sony is focusing on fighting piracy instead of giving us more games.
Yeah.. you're right! Cause Sony only makes videogames and it's 167900 peeps can only focus at one thing at a time. Ha Ha
@wesley-dw Nothing is as evil as the American government.... Bin laden is their little pet.
@lengend well said +bubbs None of these kids know that, this is classic case of putting rabbies injection into your pet and then when that pet starts attacking your friends families than you turn it into good vs evil story. He was their biggest assest in afghan war during the 70s fighting RUssia's occupation of afghanistan and when russia was kicked out, USA abbandoned them like step children.
Did it occur to people that some hackers might just mess with the game for fun instead of trying to cheat?
this really sucks, no game is safe on the ps3 its one of the reasons i made a switch to the ps i never thought it was going to get hacked like this.
This will surely ruin the fun of online on many games on the PS3.
I swear if Sony doesnt start handing out bans soon, I might reconsider whether I should continue using PSN or my PS3 for that matter even with KZ3 coming soon.
oh shut up man, all they need is a report system in each game and they will be banned stop you moaning sony will do there best to defend the game and your account.
And your option would be!?!? Oh yeah, move to one of the two other consoles that has been hacked for far longer and dealing with the very same issues??? Try again!!!
the hacks are no where near as bad on xbox they exist but they are nothing like whats going on with games like mw2
Actually, the first place that I encountered hacks was on Xbox 360. Not mine, because I don't own one, but on my friends where I actually get to share in those 360 games that I enjoy. The point being that the threat just seemed to be hollow and empty and fueled by nonsense. All three consoles have been hacked. Sure, the new exploit on MW2 for PS3 takes it to an extreme. But, this is a small percentage (as of now) of gamers on PS3. Which means that his statement was a bit of an overreaction to say the least. As I said before, it is pretty much choosing the lesser of evils at this point.
its not a small percentage, every other game i play i find these stupid hackers.
Well, I guess we have two different experiences. I don't play COD anymore. I didn't purchase BO and I traded MW2 a long time ago. I pretty much have stuck to MAG and BFBC2 for the last few months. Maybe, we are just playing different games.
Trust me hacking GT5 could only make it better. Maybe they could fix the long ass load time and some of the other problems with the game.
Aw did my comment hurt you poor wittle feelings. Don't blame me for that BS PD put out. I'm just expressing my opinion about the game. I am entitled to to do that.
Vega, You had plenty of chance to do your whinging in the many GT5 hate stories that arose when it was initially released. Continuing to bang on about it months after the fact makes you look rather obsessed and desperate.
OMG how predictable and stereotypical deuchebag you are vega. That is so yawn I can't believe I just read that. I think I died a little...O_O
Funny I thought this was a place that you could express how you feel about a game. Which is what I'm doing. Because my opinion seems to upset you people is funny. What I'm not allowed to talk bad about a game that wasn't worth the hype it was given by you fanboys. " oh no one allowed to speak negative about a Sony exclusive" get off it. It's not like what I said isn't true or what anybody else hasn't said. The game was very disappointing for the amount of time it took release. If you don't like what I say then ignore my comment. Simple as that @ insomnium2 I didn't know my comment had that kind of effect on your life if you died alittle by reading my comment. You must don't really have much of a life to begin with.
What? You say someting or was it a fart? Who dares to fart here?!
No actually you didn't hurt my feeling at all. You just came off as a spoiled little cry baby. That's all. Carry on.
Not when you don't own the game. :P
@Vega75: Thanks for the tip. Now, just like in real life, you are now ignored.
scum of the Earth.
Kill 'em with fire.
But everyone knew it was just for crappy homebrew games /s
As long as it doesn't affect online, this is great thing.Think of PC modding, you can modify the game to your liking.Nothing wrong with that...
This is why I didn't want the hacks. I don't care about piracy, ruining my fucking online games, now you just goof'd up.
Agreed. Piracy annoys me but whatever, that's their choice. But as soon as they start screwing up online games, cheating, I get really hacked off. It absolutely RUINS the game for everyone else. They should get perma-banned from psn because gamers just wanna have a fun game online, then some cheating asshat comes in and ruins the game for everybody. Ban them.
The problem is that usually the ones who use the hacks uses an alternate account rather than their main account. If they start banning people, they will just create another PSN account.
They ban the console, not just the account.
@SnakeMustDie "If they start banning people, they will just create another PSN account." Why aren't you mentioning the IP adress or better yet the MAC address of the console itself? As if creating a new PSN ID will solve the problem LMAO!!!
As long as this doesn't find its way into online games, then fine. I'd be seriously disappointed if this started to occur in online games, because it would just generally ruin the experience of the game. On a personal level, if it does start happening, I really hope Sony wins their lawsuit. I didn't pay all this money to watch people fly along in the air or speed past me in a dinky car made in the war period or something crazy like that.
I can already hear people claiming hack or cheat if you beat em fair and square to take away credit where it is due. Its like Gears where every time you get a kill you are accused of host advantage :(
so this is it huh?!! all that hacking to mess up something other people enjoy. where are the emulators? the mkv support? the homebrew to enhance the console that sony didnt give you guys? yeah, so much for hacking/cracking the ps3. hacking it was all for the plain purpose of piracy and messing up the online multiplayer. if you think any differently you are delusional.
best comment of the day!
@kingpin,exactly dude.I am following the scene for last couple of days and every comment page of those so-called homebrew sites are full of 12 year old kiddos whining for backup-manager lol. when KaKarotoks guy released the first cfw, i read the first few comments on 'that' site , they were like 'its cool, but where is my hdloader?' 'Dear sir,can i play pirate games on my ps3 now, thnx in advance'...lol lol some of the comments were so funny i already forgot them !
Dear god :( Hackers are destroying gaming :(
Hackers have been hacking for decades and gaming is still here. It's going to be ok.
Tell that to all legitimate pc gamers who have to suffer ridiculous DRM due to companies trying to protect themselves, because hackers are creating cracks for games so you can download them without paying
seems like a huge problem for sony. They should hire a well-established software company to help them fix this
Lol. What company did you have on mind?
Do you mean that company that had it's console hacked weeks after release? The guys dumb enough to make piracy protection attached to a generic DVD drive you can buy for dirty cheap and even my grandma can install? I don't think they can help much...
Definitely not the company whose encryption keys are still guarded (unlike Sony's) and whose console has a destructive fail safe if a hack restores an old operating system. No way it could be... dare I say MS.
I HATE THEM!
holy crap with the second video. Hackers are going to cheat online like the pathetic losers that the are incapable of winning against someone in a clean and fair race.
SO... N4G is a gaming site that promotes piracy. Good to know.
N4g does not promote piracy, its reporting on the current situation that plagues the ps3. by your logic news reports promotes murder, corruption, hijackings, heists, bank robberies and everything else bad in the world
N4G needs to step up and stop allowing articles about hacking on any console or PC on this website.. I dont know why they allow this
Doesn't mean it wasn't written and modding isn't happening. Think about it.
I agree lets throw out the first amendment as well /s
