"A unique achievement type system was recently announced for the Nintendo 3DS leaving gamers wondering what possibilities it may hold. From what is known at the moment, gamers who carry their Nintendo 3DS systems around will have their steps tracked, similar to the function of a pedometer. These steps are then converted into coins. Essentially meaning that the more you walk, the more coins you can accumulate. What gamers can then do with those coins hasn't been officially disclosed, but there have been some suggestions that it will unlock content within video games. I want to take a moment and write about the different uses I would like to have for these coins."
This image basically confirms that in Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon we will be seeing an alternate story. While it has been stated by Nintendo multiple times that this was the case, they were never really clear on it.
