Another 3DS stolen, hardware disassembled

Another 3DS system has been stolen. New photos which have surfaced show the system's innards for the first time.

I'm starting to think that it's a publicity stunt. I mean, come on. Do you really think that they would allow the hardware to keep getting stolen? Even conceivably if the first was taken off of a conveyor belt....Nintendo would have bumped up security and kept better track of each one if they really cared.

What do you think would get more attention and publicity, though? "Nintendo reveals guts of 3DS!" or "3DS Stolen! Disassembled and leaked!"?

EXACTLY. I think Nintendo learned a lot from Sony's PS3 slim "leaks". Unique way to advertise.

Did you ever consider that a few of them were stolen at the same time and now that the thief has had his/her fun, they sold them off or something!

The good thing is, now that the innards have been leaked, we don't have to wait so long for the Psp2/Phone! Now Sony can just get right to the copying of the tech, put a spin on it and call it their own!

How are they able to keep stealing 3ds? Shouldn't unreleased hardware have heavy security in the companies that make them, so they don't get leaked?
