This game is gonna be awesome.

Pandamobile2867d ago

Hopefully it doesn't contract a bad case of consolitis.

Kalipekona2867d ago

I know what you mean. I hope it stays true to its PC roots.

smurfee2866d ago

Yea, I lol'd hard at Metro 2033 and consolitis... dissapointment is an understatement.

cyborg2867d ago

PC version is the way to go for me

Pandamobile2867d ago

Should be for anyone that wants a good experience with STALKER.

OtherWhiteMeat2867d ago (Edited 2867d ago )

Who the hell is disagreeing with this statement. Most games are just superior on the PC.

pollocks2867d ago (Edited 2867d ago )

Implying you can't have a good experience with STALKER on any console.
Implying the devs can't make STALKER a good game on consoles

fossilfern2867d ago

I bought the first talker off a whim a few years ago. Fantastic game and so are the expansions

Solid_Snake-2867d ago (Edited 2867d ago )

shame they said its getting watered down for console lol

directx11 for me thank you.

Q:What features have been removed/compromised in the PC version due to the multiplatform release?
A:Since we develop primarily on PC, you won’t see any compromises in the PC version. The key difference between the PC and console versions will be the beauty of graphics (meaning PC will offer more of visual effects).

Pandamobile2867d ago

A game like STALKER isn't really that possible on a console without some serious dilution.

Psychotica2867d ago

Hope it has better bullet hit detection than the first one did.

PrimordialSoupBase2867d ago

No clue what you're talking about.

kramun2867d ago

Stalker had great hit detection, the gunplay was more realistic than in most shooters. Bullets shot from different guns reacted a little more like in real life. A pistol will not be something you can use to kill someone a km away, you need to be close.

Ducky2867d ago (Edited 2867d ago )

Hope you play on something harder than "easy" difficulty.

The weapon accuracy scales to the difficulty. Easier difficulty actually has less accurate guns (making the enemies less accurate, but your accuracy suffers too)

Stalker has some of my favorite shooting mechanics in their games. Recoil, gravity, and travel time.
I also like the shooting in Tripwire's games.

Theo11302867d ago (Edited 2867d ago )

My only concern is the shooting system,as hard as it seemed at first, every firefight felt satisfyingly; something I hadn't experienced since the first COD4. I hope the shooting stays the same

As for the dx11, didn't COP use a modified engine that let it use dx11?

kharma452867d ago

Yeah there was DX11 on CoP.
