Valve announced today that the Steam Community program has graduated from voluntary beta to public release, just in time for Monday's beta release of Team Fortress 2 for The Orange Box pre-purchasers. The online social networking additions to the Steam client let PC gamers create in-depth user profiles, track their friends gaming habits online and chat with other Steam users via any game in the Steam platform.
