Top 5 Steam Sale Recommendations | GoozerNation

Jason Trent with GoozerNation writes: "It's the holidays, and you may find that you have more money than you know what to do with. Ok, that's probably not actually the case, but 'tis the season for sales, and as expected, Steam is the virtual place you want to be. I've gone through the trouble of exploring the best deals available. Here are my top 5 recommended purchases for this year." ( Geometry Wars, BioShock, Just Cause 2, Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers, PC, Steam)

Hmm still not to sure of the magic game [which is currently 4.99 for just the game now. and 20.00 for everything]. After experiencing that its extremely stripped down with no real deck editor. Yet I don't have too many card games on my steam account and could be something I'll play off and on I suppose. Just not to sure...

Though a personal recommendation I would add is torchlight. Pretty fun game.

Just bought the Valve pack. Considering that the only game I've played out of the games in there is Counter Strike Source, I'd say that's a pretty good deal.

Duels of the Planeswalkers is definitely simplified from the full-blown TCG. Definitely keep that in mind if you're going to purchase it. I for one feel that it compliments a quick pick up and play experience, but not everyone will appreciate the change.

Mass Effect 2 for $10 was a steal.

Too bad I already had it :(

Couldn't resist that since I haven't played it yet. Great deal for $10. Just Cause 2 for $7.50 was also nice, if you didn't pick it up during the scavenger hunt.

I was about to buy both mass effect and the sequel for $20, however, I had to leave so I waited an it is now $15 for each.

The question is should I buy at that price, or should I wait?

you should wait because they usually do an encore of all sales if i am not mistaken

So Gamersgate has Mass Effect 1 and 2 for $8 each. I think I am going to pick them up through gamersgate.

I am doing my best not to get something. I still have games from last year that I have not played yet. I know I am going to cave soon because the deal will be too good to resist.
