Tomb Raider dev seeking multiplayer developers

Among listings for a technical producer and a senior level designer at Crystal Dynamics on the forthcoming Tomb Raider reboot, two positions popped up that we didn't expect to see: "multiplayer producer" and "senior multiplayer game designer." Though no multiplayer of any kind has been announced for the upcoming TR game, the listings go a long way in confirming it -- the job descriptions explicitly say "Come and work on the new Tomb Raider," for instance. It wouldn't be the first time a game starring Ms. Croft contained multiplayer functionality, as this year's Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light featured co-op play.

The story is too old to be commented.

Great, another SP game getting a tacked on MP.

Unless its offline splitscreen/co-op Challenges a-la Guardian of Light, then please dont waste your time/effort/money.

But then again, Lara was never one for a sidekick. So no....No MP whatsoever.

... why waste time, effort and money on slapping on a MP-mode to a game which most people will play mainly for the SP!?

The news for this new TR seemed very positive so far, but this MP-stuff will have to be really really good in order to be worth the effort.

Uncharted has it too. And none of its fans complain.

A complete focus in the singleplayer would be a honest thing to do since the franchise its starting over for the second time.

I dont understand why they keep pushing Lara Croft for the spotlight if many ppl dont care about the fanchise anymore.

I say start making a Soul Reaver sequel/reboot instead or just produce a new IP.
