Gran Turismo 5’S ’Car Parade’ Invades Sao Paulo, Brazil

In the weeks that have followed since the release of Gran Turismo 5, Sony has apparently yet to tire of promoting their new racing game. This is probably their way of making up for all the negative press they received for delaying the game’s release so many times in the past.

damn.lvl 24 here, brazil have been know for love racing

Hell, if it does. Ayrton Senna is an icon here in Brazil.

Remember the GT5 Time Trial Challenge (that "demo" that was out earlier this year with a Nissan 370z in Indianapolis)... My cousin made it to 6th with my account (bishop-sp, I could barelly made it into the 250 leaderboard myself, but the kid is really good), back in day I think it was like 12~15 brazillian flags within the top 20 spots, including the 3 first.

That's how much brazillians like racing, there is barelly that many PS3s here, but we still dominated that! LOL

Vesemir2916d ago (Edited 2916d ago )

That was not the point, but anyway... Yeah, maybe.
I never played the demo myself, so I can't say.

i recall that it delayed once. (Japanese got 2 delays)

ngecenk2916d ago

hmmm.. curious why they dont do this in the US where the sales not that good compared to others.

Christopher2916d ago

Wouldn't spark enough interest to increase sales to a point where it would be cost effective.

karl2916d ago

wow.. that bridge at 135 was really weird and awesome...

Christopher2916d ago (Edited 2916d ago )

They should create an in-city track with that bridge for download in GT5.

@Arup02: Yup, that's the one from the video. But, the area around there is beatiful as well.

Arup022916d ago

What bridge r u talking about?
this bridge? http://sensoincomum.files.w...

That is the Ponte Octávio Frias de Oliveira, but everyone here simply call it Ponte Estaiada (literally Cable-stayed Bridge). That is the newest landmark in São Paulo.

karl2916d ago

that is soo gt5 track like, right?

like cgoodno said...

Good thing games/TV don't smell or you would think twice before having a São Paulo river on the background.

Looks like it was filmed in short segments on different days.

Must have been a very difficult shoot around the normal traffic.

It was shooted the last 2 sundays, Caio Corraini from IG Games is a friend of mine, was on the passenger sit of that Gallardo... The bastard didn't even liked GT before but he made sure to tell me about this event last week just to see my envy expression... If he could just see my face while I watch this video.

It was mostly shooted with closed trafic. And I actually see 2 or 3 streets where that speed means a radar will take your licence away for good... Wished to be there limitless too, what could be more epic than overtaking a GT-R in an old Focus Sedan coming out of nowhere with Kevin Butler's "Mwahahahaha". LOL
