In this weeks edition of STIR Chris Forbis asks the writers of Platform Nation - "If you could wish one game into existence - what would it be?"
Burn Notice would be an awesome game. Oddly enough, the shows already practically laid out like a sandbox game, such as GTA.
A survival horror MMO. But instead of going here to kill x amount of that it would be completing objectives without getting killed. And all objectives would be strung together and have meaning toward the final end game setup. And of course side quests like helping out others and rescuing those who need it.
A updated XCom UFO Defense. If this game is considered one of the best games ever made there really shouldn't be anything stopping a developer from making an updated version of this game. I am sure there are at least a couple million of us that would love to see this happen.
Lemme see here: Turok sequel Monster Hunter PS3 Dino Crisis sequel Terminator FPS Spawn - preferably made by RockSteady DragonBall Z RPG/Fighter Pirates Of The Caribbean RPG (the retarded Disney company cancelled Armada of the Damned for who knows what reason). But realistically speaking MIRROR's EDGE 2!
A well executed heist game. I don't know if there have even been any to date. Which I find odd considering the number of great heist movies and the possibility for unique gameplay moments / options.
Discworld, Lego LOTR, Robin Hood, and that last Zombie game were good ideas (might even call the zombie game Patient Zero). I would add to that: a tactical espionage spin-off of MAG (third person not first) with the player as a spy for one of the three PMCs Metal Gear Solid style, set within the same MAG universe as the FPS.
I would want an amazing rpg on the ps3 that is not final fantasy.
suikoden was great on ps1, An update of that would be nice.
Valkyria Chronicles and Resonance of Fate.
The Legend of Dragoon 2 would be nice.
This is the game I was gonna wish for. I'll keep praying for it lol.
Not telling , its a bit of a secret at the moment, but my idea is gonna make me millions MMMwwwwaaaaahahahahahah.
Call Of Duty 10?
One game. Dear Santa for Christmas 2010 I want Half Life 2 Episode 3 and a Red Rider BB Gun. P.S. if I can't get the BB gun I'll take Beyonce instead.
I agree with this, except for the BB gun part. I'd prefer a Bugatti Veyron, with insurance and a pre-paid fuel card for the year. Failing that I'll take Beyonce.
Red Rider BB gun what was I thinking!! Dam I should of asked for the Bugatti Veyron Hope Santa has email.
Lol,well hope you get everything you want anyway dude, happy Xmas :)
A modern theme park simulator optimized for consoles with ugc support.
a third person shooter with Charles Bronson
Crash Bandicoot 4. Made by Naughty Dog. Oh and TES V. Oh wait...
Lunar 3 Legend of Dragoon 2 Legend of Legaia 3 New Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver
Just so i can know that some person out there will go up to his friend and proudly declare "Hey, I beat 'Off' last night!" Edit: perhaps that person would even talk about how great the climax was.
Would the sequel be called "On"?
Haha. Wow you perv.
A new Seiken Densetsu (Mana) game for the PS3....with hand-drawn 2D 1080p graphics, 3-4 player local and/or online multi-player, and made by the crew that made the SNES games. Haven't played a good Mana game in forever and Square Enix pretty much destroyed the series with the World of Mana games.
normally hate these kinds of wish lists (it's all so much fapping IMO) but this had some pretty cool ideas, thanks to the Stir/Platform Nation format of putting a question out there for many journalists to answer. and the Burn Notice idea actually sounded really great, surprisingly.
Conkers Bad Fur Day 2
Give me an epic turn based rpg for PS3.
Valkyria Chronicles 3
as for me... I'd like to see a Prey or The Darkness sequel maybe. Prey definitely **minor spoiler?** left it open for sequels at the end. but putting more upside-down craziness in without feeling cheap might be tough.
Jump Ultimate Stars for PS3/360
i would like a good Stargate game, a King of the Hill game, and maybe even a GREAT Back to the Future game.
Okami 2 for the 360. I would to anything to have this game.
The thread has gotten a lot of activity and yet no one has said it yet. Shenmue III. That's all. Once the Saga is finished, I can quit gaming and become a retro gamer. I have so many I need to play again...
A new Megaman game that is a FPS/RPG hybrid that has a single player with high replayability and a fun multiplayer, high customization in the game, and a 92+ on Metacritic (So we know it doesn't suck). Either that or Sonic Adventure 3 (Also needs a 92+ on Metacritic for the same reason).
Republic Commando 2 Chromehounds 2 Mirror's Edge 2 Dark Sector 2 Persona 5 Nier 2 A sandbox co-op zombie survival horror game
Star Wars Battle Front 3 with the same gameplay and all but with intenseness of MAG. It would be cool to play a Star Wars themed MAG. Also Chrono Break would be pretty good too. Two more I want are Kingdom Hearts 3 and FFVS13.
Action/adventure/rpg/shooter based on The Vagabond of Limbo (Axel Moonshine) comic. In right hands it would be EPIC. http://uk.video.yahoo.com/w... Or same genre based on The Lexx TV series or Corto Maltese comic. http://www.youtube.com/watc... http://www.youtube.com/watc... Developers, feel free to use these ideas in return of 5% royalties.
Just a really good Bioware/Bethesda type game for PSP, like KoTOR, Fallout, Mass Effect, Dragon Age......made for the PSP We don't really have anything like those games on a portable, it would be nice to, it seems like every other type of genre is covered, outside of Kingdom Hearts, there's not a whole lotta great action-rpgs with good stories for PSP.....Hopefully Bioware will take notice of the PSP2.
Another mortal kombat shoalin monks! Tht game rocked
X-Wing vs Tie Fighter for current consoles. An MMO set in the Firefly/Serenity universe. Freedom Fighters 2. Spore for current consoles. Online co-op zombie game with large levels and players who start off alone and unable to communicate. Communication would be proximity chat only unless walkie talkies are found. Buildings would be enterable and defendable like Treyarch's zombie mode. One player alone could survive by finding a good spot early and hiding quietly while a group of players shoot guns, attract zombies, and die. Score would be based on the number of survivors and how long they live. Dead players can choose to remain in the game as a zombie and hunt other players. Leveling up would unlock weapons, customization options, and zombie types to turn into when you die. Lastly, a PS3 version of Everquest Online Adventures with certain additions of my own, including a calendar system and player driven stories and quests. Whew.
Hmm....idk I have this idea and it may be stupid but I've had this idea for awhile now for a sandbox game where with the push of a button you can seamlessly, without a loading screen, travel forwards and backwards in time, and you have missions in both periods yet your options in the past affect the future. So for example if you go back in time and kill a high ranking official, perhaps a then-future president who in your time, long after his term has ended and after his death, is discovered to have been dirty. You then have the option of either going into the past and assassinating him or getting him arrested and dealing with the changes in your time, or doing nothing. Let's say in the game you're sort of a Timeco....Time Police Officer, and you use knowledge you have today to catch criminals in the past, like Jack The Ripper, Zodiac, The Kensington Strangler, (yeah I know that one is still open, idk if people nationwide know about it but in PA the Kensington Strangler is big news), and maybe even Hitler. You can either arrest them or kill them, there is no good or bad meter you use your own moral compass to judge if these people should be put to justice or death, and then deal with the changes in-game. Essentially the idea is.....idk Grand Theft Auto meets Doctor Who maybe? I'd like a game like that, or Legend of Dragoon 2, either or would be fine.
*rewinds back to 1994* Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter Robocop vs The Terminator 2 *jumps to 1999* Virtua Fighter vs Tekken *jumps to 2009* Console-based MUGEN
A Discworld MMO could be amazing. It would be the only MMO where I actually followed the lore, instead of just clicking through the quest logs.
I want to see a FPS style RPG made out of the old Car Wars PnP from Steve Jackson Games.
a tron mmo. if there's one ip begging to be made into an mmo, it's tron.
I'd like to add DEXTER to my gaming wish list.
