Media Create has released an expanded listing of the best-selling games from Japan. Ni no Kuni, Donkey Kong Country Returns, and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood are the big releases this week.
Japan is not the World
Assassins creed Brotherhood in the top ten, Well done Ubisoft!
Monster Hunter is the new Dragon Quest
Yet the most recognizable ip's and game characters came from Japan. It is a very significant market that people tend to underestimate. The world is round.
japan is 99% of the world
nope and neither is America or Europe... i think you'll find it's a combination of many countries.
You're right. Except for the fact that America and Europe are continents of course.
lol... my bad :)
LOL, now that's a subject. America is infact mostly recognized as two continent, North and South while Europe is infact Geography speaking a part of a larger continent of Euroaisa. Infact I don't consider Europe a continent, due in large the fact it isn't on it's own tectonic plate and isn't a seperate land mass.
but its widely regarded that way. In schools they teach five continents, Europe, America, Asia, Africa, and Australia(or is it Australasia?). the technicalities could be discussed for ages but thats just the way people and politics consider it.
Actually MOST English speaking countries teach of the 7 continent system. I'm not too sure about U.S.A because they seem to have a very weird and isolated view of the sciences, I'm not saying wrong just very different. http://upload.wikimedia.org... That is a map, the red is every country not using S.I units, something which is VERY standard.
im actually from Scotland in the UK. :) I'll agree that probably most countries accept North America and South America as different continents. But Europe, even if technically not geographically a continent on its own, is generally considered politically and by the public as its own continent. oh and btw, who would have though you could have an intelligent discussion on N4G, eh? :P
lol... what have i started here?
Monster Hunter and Dragon quest are pretty much the COD's of Japan eh?
Nintendo...they own Japan. PSP software sales seem to be solid over there as well. Wish they would release more of those PSP games outside of Japan.
Too bad USA is "teh world", or this news would be relevant! /s
