Will Call of Duty ever be fixed?

E4G: There seems to be a trend lately on whether or not an update for Call of Duty games is good or bad. With the recent Call of Duty: Black Ops update for the PlayStation 3, it caused a huge rage in the Treyarch forums.

Out of curiosity, how many of you have the game? Just wondering. It's funny that people tell you you must experience GT5 but then the same people are quick to assume what they read about COD. Anyone want to share the issues they've been experiencing personally?

Some of these these issues are blown way out of proportion. I've been playing the game adamantly and I've had standard issues but nothing majorly bad. Yes, there seemed to have been connection issues persisting after the major patch but they released a hotfix almost immediately after that. The latest patch addressed a good amount of issues and even balance concerns the community had. TA has been very flexible with listening to what the community wants.

There is a vocal minority complaining-- and with good reason, but that is the only part ever "supported" here

Treyarch has done a much better job than Infinity Ward. They do two things with the community:

1) Listen to gameplay issues
2) Listen to technical issues

And they've released a great amount of patches and hotfixes.

To say that they aren't listening is just ignorant. It's another story to say they did a bad job launching the game, because clearly they screwed up the PC and PS3 versions.

Give them a minute. Infinity Ward is more popular. COD is the Mcdonalds of the Gaming Industry. Watch what you support, the world will only give you what you want and you will ONLY get what you deserve in the end based off of the choices you choose to make. In all aspects of life, not just gaming.

What? Give them a minute to do what? You didn't even bother responding to my point, the fact that they have supported the game so far much better than IW is positive news. While IW dealt with constant hacks Black Ops largely lacks these issues.

All online games have their issues. Are you expecting the game to be perfect online? There are issues, and they are getting addressed. What's the problem here?

The article title is funny because people simply answer the question with the typical response, yet I don't see anyone making any direct references to the issues they have. I wonder why?

I'm quite pissed at the 1.04 patch. After the patch all my stats were reset although (of course) I didn't hack/cheat/ or boost. I was on my way to 2nd prestige.
Anyone know a solution for that problem?

- Deleting the game will still have the vile beast showing up on my game list.
My only recourse would be to make a new account and buying all those games again.

- Can't really toss the computer in the bin. Can't play BadCompany without it. =/

- Kicking myself in the nuts didn't solve problems. Rather, it multiplied them. If it solved your problems, then that's great. Unfortunately, I wasn't as lucky. =(

Keep the feedback coming though. I anxiously await a solution to my problem. This thread is just beaming with bright young minds, so I don't think I'd have to wait for long.

Activision will make their own COD console. Its a console that can only play COD games. Every year you have to buy a new one to get the latest COD game. It will have 80% failure rates and absolutely no warranty of any kind. Then the COD sheep will buy it like mad men. It will cost $300. Actually I probably should stop right now. I have no idea how bad the pc version is but I had it on the 360 was fine minor lag every couple of games and disconnected about twice a day at the most live ran out bought a ps3 sold black ops on the 360 got a ps3 version the DAY the patch game out spent 1 hour 40 minutes trying to get into a game with my little brother (he is craig_ere_2k8 one of the bloody boosters that ruined cod thankfully he gave that stuff up for black ops really good player best I’ve seen which is good for me since I win all the time lol) anyway back to the point spent that long to get into a game we got in and kicked out that happened for the rest of the night couldn’t get ONE game as a party and when we were playing alone it was barely any better every game lagged etc it’s just a joke really then I did that fix (delete the save and utility data) is working allot better we can do parties etc now only problem is the mute button appears and disappears as it pleases if it gets fixed that would be amazing doing want this to be a repeat of gears two online great potential best online game I have ever played when It wasn’t lagging, glitching, bugs everything was wrong with the online like waiting 20 minutes to join a game and that was never fixed want black ops fixed allot as its the best cod since cod4 p.s sorry for my short novel lol

They should have done what platinum games did with vanquish. And thats achieve visual parity between the 2 consoles. The PS3 can handle a game like black ops just as well as the 360 can. I blame on the devs for the visual differences between the 2 versions. And if you tell me that isnt possible just look at modern warefare 2 sure the 360 version was superior. But the differences were barely noticable. And yes i know there was a difference of 10fps during some parts of the game but that didnt happen very often. But hey we all know that infinaty ward are much better than treyarch

It'll never be fixed because Activision and all it's sub companies don't give a crap about the people who support them, no matter if it's blindly or otherwise. They wont start actually fixing the games they make until people stop buying them. It'll never happen though because every retarded booster and cheater will always need the next game to ruin.
