Folklore Hands-on: Noodle Twister on PS3

The creator of the Shin Megami Tensei series isn't done twisting your noodle just yet.

In Kouji Okada's latest, the barrier between the lands of the living and dead is far from impenetrable. Living souls that travel between are called "messengers," and Folklore concerns itself with two in particular: Keats, a worldly reporter obsessed with the occult, and Ellen, a young woman with a murky past. Both are lured to the town of Doolin in short order, and the death of one thrusts both on a journey through seven strange realms of the Netherworld.

The story is too old to be commented.

While my most anticipated PS3 games of 2007 are Uncharted and Ratchet, this game is the one that feels the most unique and interesting. I also simply love the art direction and the visual style. A must have and the fact that Shin Migami Tensei maker has worked on it makes it twice as valuable in my book.

Great visuals,
Significant depth in the game play due to the amount of folks u can capture and use in different ways.
The little of the story revealed makes me want to find out more.
And some of the most responsive sixaxis implementation to date.

did you guys enjoy the demo?
I'm thinking of getting this game if it scores 8+.

I liked the fact that you could play both of the characters and it provided enough action for you to get a feel for the six-axis control scheme at work. That said, I am definitely looking forward to the release of this game.

Did you not get to play the demo? Why wait for reviews if you did? The demo seemed to be long enough to judge whether or not you will like the full game.

Edit: I personally thought it was great but I won't buy since I'm in Grad school and my wife hates me playing games instead of studying.

there's something about this game that I like. I don't know what it is but after I played the demo i'm definitely getting the game.

I had a really positive experiance with the demo, the visuals, combat system and sixaxis were all pretty well done.

and I'll say it again the art direction is up there with Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal.

I played threw a second time though and its a bit easy once you have a good idea of what your doing. probably a game I would start off on the hardest difficulty with.... but thats how I play most games so take that how ever you will
