Bungie's Halo 3 Advertised For Sony's Playstation 3

Taken from a Blockbuster store in the UK. It's a bold marketing approach, even by Sony's standards.

The story is too old to be commented.

...to realize what was funny.

I don't think Sony had anything to do with that. But then again they have surprised me before. This IS sony we are talking about here.

Lacarious3416d ago

str8 comedy how they continue to make marketing blunder after blunder.

MACHone3416d ago

Err, I hope you don't seriously think this was a blunder by Sony (you can never quite be too sure on these message boards nowadays). This is at a Blockbuster, so someone who works there just brought in a Halo 3 trailer and uploaded it onto the PS3.

XboxKing3417d ago

Doubt this is official Sony marketing to be honest, Its probably some kid that works there did it and posted it on youtube and is now probably having a big circle jerk with his mates over the flamewar this will turn out to be.

Well we have seen Sony use PGR3 pics and try to push them as their own on several occasions, I am not sure Sony is above such marketing behavior.

If this was the other way around and MS was advertising MGS4 as their own, not one of you would question it, you would be going on how MS is sleazy and evil, why anyone thinks Sony is any better I fail to understand.

Sony hasn't once used the PGR3 to advertise their system, it was done by other magazines or companies.

you sound like a lunatic politician who lost an argument and is now resorting to wild conspiracy theories. =O

Wonder if it has anything to do with the employees wiring the video to this set, playing it and then conveniently recording it? Nahhh - couldn't be... o_0

Meus Renaissance3417d ago (Edited 3417d ago )

Sony isn't responsible nor do they manage the advertisement of stores like Blockbuster. My local store has the same PS3 stand but its managed by the employees. What this video shows is that the TV set isn't connected to the actual machine but part of a network of TV's in the store.

In Blockbuster, they have several TV's hanging on the walls that play the same content simulatenously. Usually trailers for movies and game videos such as this.

will Sony Fanboys go? They just dropped another notch with this one.
