Tasteless Gamer: Winter Gaming

Ahh, the joys of Winter! Snow, ice, sleet and bitter cold winds are enough to keep anyone in doors. Those who are getting slammed currently have a few choices to make. Do you venture out in it, trucking through the white stuff like a man (or woman) on a mission or do you stay indoors and fight the battle another day?

The editors here at Tasteless Gamer prefer to stay in the warmth and play video games! You don’t want to see us in our hideous Christmas sweaters anyways. Sure, we are previewing upcoming titles and beating others for review purposes but we are also taking the time to hit up some of our favorite titles.

Maybe you should be doing the same and we are going to share with you what we are playing now. That oddly shaped snowman can wait till tomorrow. Hey, it’s 8 degrees outside!

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave17d ago (Edited 17d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
