EBgames has Mad Catz' Xbox Live Arcade Retro Stick on display to be shipped for 08/1/2006. For $69.99 you can play the classic arcade games with a more conventional control scheme.
Kind of cool; but I like my 360 controller.
it looks like an ok addition, but i don't see how it can be comfortable for an acrade feel since the bottons are small. if it's used as a controlpad, it's bulky base might not fit in the palm of the hand that well. for the price of $69.99, this should definately be a try before buy product.
Good God! That is half a Nintendo DS! That is more than a brand new friggin 360 game! I will definitely pass on this one.
or not even girl gamers will buy it.
ahhh, SWEET, arcade games on a retro stick. Nice idea MS.
Web page gone bye bye.
Posted the same article earlier... Whats the point of same 2 articles?
Plus if everyone reads its through, actually $49 bucks.
If you do play the retro games why wouldn't you buy this controller?
for my wife - she likes the retro games and has trouble with the complexity of 3-D games. but she kicks my butt and Ms. Pac-Man as it is...hmmmmm...need to think about this
This is an intereting move - it might be a response to Nintendo's efforts to make gaming more accessible to the general public.
it works better for arcade titles that the analog stick of the regular controller. Anyone else tried to play Pac-Man or Galaga? It's damn near impossible with the regular controller-- the d-pad is sh1t and the sticks dont't transition from one direction to the other fast enough.
