In the past few years, the Spike Video Game Awards have moved from being awards to just simply a platform for developers to announce games. Last year, the big announcement was Batman: Arkham City, but this year brings much bigger surprises. For one, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception was officially announced with a trailer. The game is aiming to be released November 1,2011. Mass Effect 3, which has been hinted at, was given a trailer and has a release window of holiday 2011. The Elder Scrolls Series, which has sat dormant since the Shivering Isles expansion, will finally receive a sequel titled The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The game is scheduled to be released November 11, 2011(11.11.11).
