Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood players complain of game-breaking Animus glitch

Joystiq: Users on the game's forum are complaining about a nasty glitch where they're unable to sit back down in the Animus after running around the Auditore compound, effectively trapping them in 2012 and halting all progress in the game.

The story is too old to be commented.

Wow hope this does not happen to me I am currently playing through Assassins Creed Brotherhood. Have enjoyed it allot so far. I think it is an improvement from previous titles.

Assassin's Creed cannot be improved from any previous title. It only expands on its own awesomeness. Best series ever.

Hmmm maybe thats true, but I think that the stealth is a little better in this game from previous titles?

I wonder if finding one of the artifacts in 2012, then returning to The Animus would trigger the re-entrance to the memory sequence? It's almost like the game isn't continuing the normal sequence. So I'm wondering if changing the save data would do anything. Go get a rooftop artifact and return to the Animus. Either way that sucks big time. Ubisoft needs to patch ASAP. Perhaps The Templars are hacking the game from an alternate timeline! AHHHHHHHHHH!

This happened to me after I collected the 5 artifacts in 2012. It's a shame, I was really far into it at the time. I just can't bring myself to play it again.

omg this happened to me I had to start from the beginning and I had already played for 7 hours. My advice would be dont leave the animus!

This entire game is wrought with glitches and problems, as fun as it is. I wouldn't call myself a trophy whore, but to have a glitch TAKE AWAY my trophies? Now that's just wrong. I don't know how many times I got caught inside of objects, how many times pressing up on a ladder made me go down, etc. Luckily, in spite of all that, there's so much to do in the game that I still find it enjoyable.
