Welcome back Lara, it's been too long.

Red_Orange_Juice2924d ago

looks young.... the pervert inside of me says yummy

Baka-akaB2924d ago

well i think its the first time she even looked pretty .

Despite her previous status of inflated playboy doll

acky12924d ago

It sounds like she isn't going to be as badass as she used to be... the whole appeal for me was a strong, determined woman shooting shit up.

I like her new look a lot better but I dont want lara to be the type that "bleeds, trembles, cries and ultimately pushes forward”. Wipe those tears and pull out your uzis croft, you ain't no pansy!

Jaces2924d ago

Well she is shipwrecked, young, and lost. So I don't see uzi Lara running around doing back flips over the crazy natives.

acky12924d ago

Maybe that's what she should be doing though... lara croft has always been depicted as badass in the games and films; fighting tigers, military police and monkeys were no problem for her. Sounds like she's gonna fall to pieces at the first sign of danger...

I'm passing judgement way too early on a game that might be great but I remember lara in a much different light than described in this article.

Had to do something though, the series was getting pretty stale... I havn't been tempted to buy one since the ps1 days.

Acky: I think the point is that they are starting by showing what happens that eventually gets her to the stone cold badass Lara.

Lol that reboot just died when uncharted 3 was announced, if it gets released around the same as uncharted 3.

Baba19062924d ago (Edited 2924d ago )

i think they are different, uncharted doesnt have the puzzles and the plattforming that tombraider games have. and Tombraider has never had the Uncharted kind of shooter gameplay. I love both and cant wait for both games.

ReservoirDog3162924d ago

Hey, I love Uncharted as much as the next guy (see bio) but there's room in the world for more than one 3rd person adventure game right? I mean, both could be good in their own way.

The money they spent on this could've easily been towards a generic FPS. Now we have a survival adventure game.

TheBand1t2924d ago

One's a more survival oriented adventure, the other is all about the cinematic flair and characters.

I want both.

Baka-akaB2924d ago (Edited 2924d ago )

ah ... i see there are still people comparing uncharted and tomb raider ..

Nerox32924d ago

Uncharted 2 sucked ass,,,most overrated game ever,,and UC will never be as big as the TR franchise :D

Legionaire20052924d ago

Tomb Raider is the reason why Uncharted is successful, so ladies first LOL!!!

tablav2924d ago

Uncharted and Tomb Raider are both Action games that focus on treasure and the paranormal at times. That's where the similarities end though. I personally don't think that either title will affect the sales of the other.

I'm looking forward to another 'real' Tomb Raider game.

stuntman_mike2924d ago
