Talking Point: Why PlayStation Move Needs Uncharted 3

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is real, announced by Sony for a release in 2011, most likely around Christmas time. Playable in stereoscopic 3D, its duck-and-cover gunplay would be a perfect fit for PlayStation Move yet the announcement makes no mention of Move support.

Nah. Move needs great games that only be played with Move.

@MysticStrummer ... You just NAILED IT ON THE HEAD! Move "support" does nothing to push Move sales. If you tell me well you can buy Uncharted 3 and play it with either device and it will be awesome for both, and then ask me what I want to buy: a $60 game and play with existing tech or pay $60 game + $99 Move Bundle + $40 Sub Controller.... I will tell you the $60 game wins out.

Move needs a "you can only play this game with Move" block buster game. Take Uncharted 3 and now tell me it will only work with Move Controller and I will shell out the $200 to play that game as will MANY people.

The developer's co-president Christophe Balestra explained that it was too late for them to incorporate Sony's new motion controller support into Nathan Drake's next adventure.

Balestra said: "Maybe in the future. Right now, it's kind of difficult because we're so focused on the next thing. It would be too late for us to start thinking about that. Move certainly has potential."

The other co-president Evan Wells added: "I was probably the biggest naysayer when I heard about the Wii, this is just going to be flash in the pan. What is Nintendo thinking? But I've eaten my hat. And I think that there are some really great and exciting experiences that you can create. So, I definitely think the Move has a lot of potential. But I think if we were going to tackle a game that supported Move, we would want to do it from the ground up. We're too far along into what we're working on next to really do it justice."

No freakin' way. Are you guys just looking for excuses to use it in games? This one clearly doesn't need it, and it would only help to bring an otherwise great game down.
