E4G: With the recent announcement that Kratos, the ultimate bad a** in God of War III will be appearing in the next Mortal Kombat game, what about Kratos being featured in a FPS title?

Hehe that would be an awesome idea.

creatchee2807d ago

Yes, but only if they do it right. Kratos is too sacred a character to whore out to spinoffs like Mario and Sonic have been.

Sharingan_no_Kakashi2807d ago (Edited 2807d ago )

Spoiler Alert: Kratos is actually the leader of the Chimera.

lociefer2807d ago

i thought kratos had his own little fps at the end of gow3

Longrod_Von_Hugendon2807d ago (Edited 2807d ago )

RPG/FPS with weapons of the period would be more fitting.

Focker4202807d ago

FPS means First Person Shooter, I don't remember Kratos ever doing some first person shooting.

completely lost it when they mentioned CoD...

and why would he use a gun...a first person perspective would be an interesting idea..something similar towards the end of GoW III, if people have played the game, then they know what im talking about

but Kratos using a gun, it just feels like a cop-out and doesnt do any justice to the sort of character that he is...guns and greek mythology,i just dont see those two mixing

ravinash2807d ago

Plus wheres the fun without being able to rip someones head off with your bare hands.

CobraKai2807d ago

Flailing about in first person using 2 move controllers would be very very interesting

velocitygamer2807d ago

To be would be a unique idea...if done properly. It will be a very different game. Instead of using guns, kratos would be using swords and mostly, melee weapons.I can almost see it going FPS ever since I saw that cutscene at the end of god of war 3. Only worry is that if it might end up ike mirrors edge. We NEED more faster paced fps games. God of war going fps would be totally awesome...imagine using the hermes boots in fps action :O

MrRaveDave2807d ago

look up breakdown for the xbox to see a first person melee game. Never played it but heard it was pretty good!

poopface12807d ago

its was way better than the second.

Jack-Pyro2807d ago

I'll remember that when your head is missing at 1200 yards.

>:), Nah just kidding.

Christopher2807d ago

Only if the FPS goal was to grab and slam heads against objects, finishing off an opponent by poking into their eyes and ripping their head off.

poopface12807d ago

they already did this in GOW 3.

Bull5hifT2807d ago

Go throw a tomahawk in COD and squint your eyes, and wish for reddish orange streaks swishing around

Theonik2807d ago

It's a funny suggestion because at some point on GoW's development a first person perspective was proposed by a member of the team. It never came to fruition though. GoW3 has some first person elements in it.

Jimmy the Greek2807d ago

great concept if done properly.

TheBossMan2807d ago

False. Kratos and guns shouldn't mix. Just... no. That's like saying let's have James Bond in the next Bayonetta.

itchy182807d ago (Edited 2807d ago )

FPS - First Person Slasher - GOD OF WAR

Syaz12807d ago

how to play it in first person view when the screen will be blood red most of the time, u cant see shit like that.

Theonik2807d ago

@Syaz Have you played GoWIII, you'd have a good indication of that if you had ;)

ExplosionSauce2807d ago

FPS? Don't they mean FPV?
And we saw something like that at the end of GOWIII.

The_Nameless_One2807d ago (Edited 2807d ago )

Maybe. They can take that little extra from the first game where you see modern soldiers find the remains of Cronus and maybe use that as a jumping point for a FPS GOW game. Then again, only if it's done right. We really don't need another Legendary, now do we?

For those who don't know what I am talking about or need a refreshment then...
