FF8's Laguna joins the fight in Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy

The latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Jump has revealed a new fighter for Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy: Final Fantasy VIII's Laguna, temporary party member and father of lead character Squall.

Laguna is a machine gun user and a member of the Galbadian Army in FF8. In Dissidia he'll fill a similar role - running and gunning enemies from afar. He rounds up the number of characters from FF8 in Dissidia 2 to three, and joins Lightning, Kain, Vaan and Tifa Lockhart as newcomers to the new Dissidia game.

he is the only other character from that game worth having. all the others arent distinctive.

I think they could've had Seifer. The other party members are pretty standard though - Selphie, Zell etc wouldn't really fit.

Not a huge FF8 fan, but he's the best choice out of their cast for sure! Now reveal Vivi, and we'll have two heroes from each PS1 FF!

I haven't been paying attention, is it from main FF games only? Cause I could do with some Final Fantasy Tactics up in here.

So far it's main FF only, but they could easily change that. FFT would be good, Layle from Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers would be good..

Eff that mess, give me Ramza, Delita and Thunder God Cid.

I just imagine Orlandu being faster than everyone and one-hit killing everything lol, that guy was a beast.

PSP: Great system for rpgs or greatest system for rpgs? Sony needs to get this kind of support on PS3.

A "great system for rpgs", in my opinion.
