Alex of Spawnkill.com takes a look at the Tomb Raider reboot that is being described by the developers as an emotional survival adventure game.
sounds interesting, might start checking on this game
Like castaway, WILSOOOOON!!!!
Name one thing you'd take with you if your'e stranded on a deserted island: LARA CROFT! giggity
I hope "emotinal" doesn't mean that Lara's gonna be a cry baby in this.
Well she is supposed to be real young. I'm sick of unemotional female leads that are all like robots. Same goes for some male leads.
Great now Lara is going to miss her mommy just like Hope from Final Fantasy? The only emotion that should be experienced in a survival game is fear and dread. Anything else is a just derivative bullshit that belongs in a chick flick or an asian soap opera. Leave that melodramatic crap in Final Fantasy where it belongs. God forbid should Square ever get their pansy hands on some other franchise like God of War and reboot it into a queer fest where Kratos is driven to violence because he was stood up at the senior prom and his dad never came back from the war.
God forbid you from leaving your country and venture into the real world. You belong in hardcore fantasy land.
You are a retarded person. i don't know where you live but real life are not what you've just described. "reboot it into a queer fest where Kratos is driven to violence because he was stood up at the prom" WTF? Do you think people become that violence because they were born that way? I actually thank SE for making their games emotional, I love a gripping story that actually matters and that I can connect to real life.
Fully agree MaidenIB! I'm looking forward to it though.
'Emotional' survival adventure. Welp, that killed my original expectation. -_-
I wonder how are they going to implement the mechanics for this game since it looks complicated. It sounds really good on paper but the same could be said with the latest installment for Alone in the Dark. This feature could make/break this game altogether. -End of Line
I'm tired of Tr games, good TR games ended in AoD.
Really? Because I'd say they ended a bit before that. I found AoD ridiculous. Know it doesn't have the TR name attached, but I really enjoyed Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. It was an unexpected departure for a character that had gotten stale, but it worked.
psss for me TR ended in Revelation
I'm sick of unemotional female leads that are all like robots. Same goes for some male leads.
- Seijorou Play Parasite Eve/The 3rd Birthday. Incidentally, by Square Soft/Enix. xD
Looks like these developers are taking the standard approach. Reboot franchise. Run it further into the ground.
If they can replicate the structure of gameplay and user-friendly control set-up that is Uncharted 2 and make it their own then Tomb Raider will not only get a lot of it's former fan base back but gain more.
I don't know how much more emotional survival I can take with all these reboots....:(
is that picture what they call a softer rounder face? I think it looks quite hard actually, the jaw line for example has some definite strong angles.
Well the Emotional part means there will be boobs. The survival part means clothes will be torn. Sounding good so far!
