Is video game addiction really so dangerous?

Take a boy or man from their teens to their 30s and give them something compelling to do and they’ll do it. Again and again, over and over in a single-minded loop of penalty kicking, card collecting, statistic compiling, chess playing and train spotting. It’s how they become good at things.

Why does everything have to be an addiction these days and on top of that why does it have to come off as bad/wrong? People wear clothes everyday (and for long periods of time). I guess that means people are addicted to clothes and that's a bad thing. Can these people not live without clothes or something? I think if you're addicted to clothes then you need help.

It's a good addiction and this is why, the more you play and are occupied with your game the less time you'll have to eat and become a fat pig sitting down just watching TV...JUST SAYIN!
