RipTen: "Last week I was lucky enough to get my hands on Codemaster’s upcoming military FPS – and I’ll let you know right now, this isn’t the type of wargame you’re used to."
"Well, there isn’t any." haha, pass.
Yep, that's how many gamers feel.
I love co-op, so I'll be getting this for sure.
There is only Co-op, which should give rise to some cool new modes.
I need more than an 8 hour campaign and so co-op to justify $60 these days.
OMG...gamers these days.... This is why many SP games are getting tacked on MP
Tell me about it Quagmire. I bet half the people who say that an 8 hour campaign is not worth the $60 price point are perfectly fine with paying $20 to watch a 2 hour movie with popcorn and a drink. I get that multiplayer can be fun, and that it adds replay value, but it is not an absolute necessity. I would rather have an awesome single player experience than have a decent single player experience with tacked on multiplayer. That is why I liked BioShock 1 more than BioShock 2.
''What you get instead is full 1-4 player drop in/drop out co-op throughout the entire campaign (8+ hours) and various game modes.'' Not bad at all.
Yeah I like the sound of those co op modes. Convoy escort, and defend especially.
""but what about multiplayer??" "Well, there isn’t any." haha, pass." wow...with gamers like you, gaming is heading in a great direction /s seriously, give the game a chance. Maybe absence of MP will allow the to focus on single player? + co-op? seriously, people are obcessed with MP this gen as if there aren't enough games with it
Lack of Multiplayer is a little bust, wonder why they decided not to include any..
Because the multiplayer on OFP:DR was horrible. The only thing it did well was the co-op that's why they are concentrated on just that this time. But just an 8 hour campaign does seem pretty weak when that's all the game will include.
Well, there are good SP Games, but it is weird to find a military FPS without Multiplayer ''What you get instead is full 1-4 player drop in/drop out co-op throughout the entire campaign (8+ hours) and various game modes.'' That's better. Codemasters can focus only in the Campaign and Coop mode.
Well most of the mp games fell like co op this days it will be good if the AI is good but we need a beta to know this kind of details or i will pass or just buy it once it hit $10 maybe.
vanquish was only a few hours long. No Mp is fine imo, I would like them to have it but it doesn't matter, just so long as they give the Co-op mode some replay value anyway
Hmm maybe co-op might help since Dragon Rising was a disaster in MP. Single player would be the strongest point of this series.
Without MP they could at least up the co-op to over 4 players, sounds pretty poor :(
"As you can see i've taken a hit to my head. It's nothing serious but i am bleeding badly..." Seriously people, if you're curious enough and have the rig, Get your buddies together and grab a coppy of Arma each. Might as well get the first one as it'll be cheaper and aint as pc-intense - or get the second set in the caucasus - or get Op Arrowhead set in a curriously similar country to this 'unreleased' game.
"then you know they were well received and applauded for their more realistic take on the military FPS genre. " You mean the worst game ever created by lying dev who didn't finish the game, who cheated us all with a game that was unplayable in MP, buggy, piece of Crap. CM should of been shut down for fraud in that game, the whole community slagged them off and there were so many ban's on the forum it was not funny. F* u CM with this crap.
This game just got interesting.
With people like me who work 50+ hours a week an 8hr campagn is possibly too long, lol.. I'll check this game out, the co-op stuff seems awesome!
