Videogamer: "If you're a hardcore GT fan this game will cater to your needs; everyone else will find a game that's often tedious to work through, and missing essential functionality."
This is what the folks at EA, in a recent interview, thought of GT5 vs it's competition (NFS Shift 2, Forza 3). Keep in mind that the following comments are not by some clueless "journalist" on some ad-supported website but insight into the thought process of the folks who are developing a competing driving game (NFS Shift 2). On GT5: "I would be foolish not to be concerned about GT5. GT5 is a beast. It's hard to understand what you should be worried about - it's so big and they have so many features." On Forza 3: "I fundamentally think that if you look at Forza 3 and you look at Shift 2, they're not in the same division. Shift 2 is just so far ahead."
Damn! Forza has become the new whipping boy. XD
I hope next year's GOTY edition will be much better than original GT5.
Patches will improve it...
But it will not affect the reviews.
Who cares about reviews? Is not going to stop a game for being good...
i dont get it he said gt5 is the same as gt that came out in the 90s that doesnt make sense because it changed alot the same can be said for need for speed its essentially the same as it came out in the 90s but it has also changed alot since then
"If you're a hardcore GT fan this game will cater to your needs; everyone else will find a game that's often tedious to work through, and missing essential functionality." I agree with the first part, but im not a hardcore GT fan (as this is the first one ive ever bought), and i am absolutely loving it. I was just on it for around 4 hours straight and the only reason i got off was to have my lunch. So addicting and a beautiful game. Probably only downsides are loading times and the standard cars. Otherwise a fantastic game.
Clearly they were paid off by Microsoft and Turn 10??? lol
