Final Level: iPad Gaming First Impressions

There are loads of things to love about gaming on the iPad. The screen is massive compared to the iPhone and iPod touch or even the PSP or DS and this helps with gaming a lot. The added screen space allows developers to add things like on screen buttons without them covering a big part of the action on screen. This helps a lot as I feel that one of the worst things about gaming on the smaller iOS devices was that on screen buttons don’t really work well at all and I always avoided those games on my touch. The touch screen is also incredibly responsive making games like angry birds as amazing as ever and it allows developers the ability to do more with their games and encourages them to be more innovative, like using gestures on the touch screen to cast spells in Lego Harry Potter when they could have just put in on screen buttons.
