We’re sorry we forgot about you, Crash

Play-mag: "Oh (pixelly) Crash, has it really been that long? The Onion reminded us of your 14th anniversary, so we’re going to celebrate it now. Because we’re cool like that."

Geez, it's not a real person. I get the anniversary's of game characters and games, but "sorry we forgot about you?". That's just ridiculous.

I_Like_Good_Games4892d ago

Crash needs a reboot but with the same developers. You guys know who.

come_at_me_bro4892d ago

Or at least from someone who has a passion for the series, like Retro with Metroid and Donkey Kong.

NecrumSlavery4892d ago

I'd be super happy to see crash remastered to the caliber of Ratchet & Clank Future. Would you all just freak if Crash snuck into PS Move Heroes!?

TheLastGuardian4892d ago (Edited 4892d ago )

If Naughty Dog bought back the rights to Crash and did a reboot, that would be one of my most anticipated games. Sadly It's highly unlikely.

Today's gamers just want Uncharted. So do I but I just wish there was some way to have both. Like If ND split up into 2 development studios or if some developers with Crash nostalgia would make a reboot with the originals in mind.

Edit: Ok I just read the article and what's up with this? "He was going to be our mascot, and his games were going to go down in legend as the best platformers on PSone." What you mean to say is his games are the best platformers on PSone and he is the PSone's mascot.

NecrumSlavery4892d ago

Once Crash went multiplat, tye series was meh. CB, Wrath, & Warped were pure genious. How possible is it to do remakes like PS2 games? Would it just need a reboot?

Fictional or not, I wouldn't wanna get on Crash's bad side.
Behind those shrubby eyebrows and snow-white teeth lies a mean bellyflop just waiting to happen.

I think the gaming media was too busy trying to pick holes in GT5 to notice anything else. Sega could have announced their return to the hardware market and no one would have heard...

ULTIMATE_REVENGE4893d ago

GT5 does have a lot of flaws, you would know that if you actually had the game.

SMW4892d ago

Look at my display pic noob. Where do you think that came from. Or did you mistake it for real life?

Cajun Chicken4893d ago

People still care about the bandicoot. He can be saved. Honestly, for that to happen. He needs to be out of Activision's hands. Not because I don't like Activision...because since the acquisition of Crash from Sierra, Crash has really been badly treated and forgotten and Radical are rubbish at making games with the spirit of the old classics.

Eiffel4892d ago

I'm more sorry about what Crash's franchise has turned into over the past few years. Same goes for Spyro.

1996 Voted as ‘Best Year in Gaming’ by UK Public

Have you ever wondered what the best year in gaming was? Well wonder no more! The British public have had their say, and voted for 1996.

Limitedtimestruggle586d ago

I have some many fond memories as a 10 year old gamer from back then! The best of times!

Dfooster586d ago

Yeah that is a good choice. Great times

Snakeeater25586d ago

Lol Nintendo 64 … talk about a shitty year for gaming

Old McGroin585d ago

The N64 was amazing at the time, how old are you, 12?

CobraKai585d ago

Mario 64, Mario Kart, WaveRace. They’re prolly too young to appreciate em. My kids love the N64.

Terry_B585d ago

No..1996 was not a good start for the N64. The system had a lousy start in comparison to the SNES, Playstation and probably even the Sega Saturn.

CobraKai585d ago

So…. Nevermind the first time Resident Evil or Tomb Raider was released, a damn near arcade perfect port of Tekken 2, Quake, Wipeout, Crash Bandicoot, Super Mario RPG, Nights, Panzer Dragoon Zwei? It’s shitty cuz the old N64 is it?

BrainSyphoned586d ago (Edited 586d ago )

More of a 97 person myself.
FF7, Symphony of the Night, Gran Turismo, Grand Theft Auto, Dynasty Warriors, Diablo, Fallout, Tomb Raider 2, Mega Man Legends, GoldenEye, Turok, Wing Commander Prophecy, Star Fox 64, Einhander, Tobal 2, Bushido Blade, Colony Wars, Ultima Online. Was a great year to start working at Funcoland.

You beat me to it. I loved both years, but 97 was one of my favorite years ever.

Marcello585d ago

2013 was a good year too. Dead Space 3, The Last of Us, GTA5, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Tomb Raider reboot, Bioshock Infinite, Batman: Arkham Origins, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Grid 2 & more.

Limitedtimestruggle585d ago

Dead Space 3? That game only deserves to be on rock-bottom lists. In my honest opinion.

Marcello585d ago

Its is very Marmite that game but to me it was only that love story nonsense that was bad, really bad.
