Games That Don't Suck Afterall: Sonic and the Black Knight

Sonic and the Black Knight was almost universally panned as one of the worst games Sonic was in, with a Metacritic score as a 54 and regarded as having horrible controls, being a waggle-fest, and having a weak story. Well I can't argue with the story, and if you don't get a handle on the controls, well then you won't have a lot of fun. But that's true about any game now isn't it? This is exactly the type of article the gaming industry needs more of. Some games just don't get good reviews, and thus don't sell well, which is a shame really. I really enjoyed the article! If I was more of a Sonic fan, I'd try this game out now for sure. ^_^

I agree whole heartedly. I remember the initial shock when I thought I'd finished the game in under two hours. I kept at it and sure enough, there was a rich layer of pure fun hidden under all the swords and mid evil references.

Totally agreed. Another thing I noticed was that reviewers said Sonic was to slow in getting up to speed. All you really had to do was to jump once, and then you'd be back in business. Anyway, this game was a lot of fun!

Jumping just seemed to elude most reviewers in general when it came to this game.

I agree. I loved Black Knight! Xander seems to have similar taste in games as myself
