Rumor has it that the bi-annual Xbox 360 firmware update set to hit this fall will bring with it a number of interesting updates, chief among them a new Parental Timer.
WOW, does this thing set for days or just hours...LOL

I for one, hope that is not the chief update.
who ever came up with this idea should be shot...there is a power button on the damn thing..if you want your kids to get off of it, press that green button with the green ring ( or red, hehe, i couldn't resist ) and tell them to go to bed. Don't abuse technology like this:(
When is the update
but i would guess sometime around halo 3
I'd definitely use it to limit my kids, but is it by gamer tag, total use on a console or what? It should be configured to both. But, most parents likely won't know how to set it up, but at least its there. My wife would try and use it to limit my time on my beloved 360... gCM
if your a parrent this sounds good but if your the person on the other end this is going to ruin your day-week-year-maybe even your life!
hey everyone seems we have some [email protected]
imagine going through hours without saving, only for the timer to shut the console down.
god what happened to the good old days, if you want your kids to get off the comp. console, shout and scream until they do, or even use the odd slipper for help.
the modded xbox 360's . they had an update just before halo3 beta, and with it came the ban hammer.
parental timer -huh, what a laugh.they kicked 400,000 last time . i wonder how much this time?
Im 15, but as lony parentsintain my good grades my parents dont really set too many restrictions on my gaming habbits. Plus they wouldnt really know about this and I wouldn't really make it a point to tell them.
MS Please add 16:10 resolutions and add black bars up and down
Now all we need is a RROD timer so we know when our 360 is gonna fry on us.
when i read your comment i seriously thought "omg" because i am seeing more and more comments like yours in the news articles these days. no one needs to read comments like this, the story is not about the RROD situation so i advise you to leave that subject alone.
you gotta admit; an RROD timer is hilarious! bubbles for you
i will not be using anything like this lol. spose they mite be trying to assure to parents its safe for their kids to play online etc to reach more people, but i assume for every single person on this site who has an Xbox 360, this will not be used.
the fall update is on sep 10th i just got the msg on XBL
Does the update come with IPTV....or what....Im lost
Kids scared already? :)
Well this is good if you are at work or somewhere and kids are staying home and for some reason you don't want them to play with your precious 360 at least for too long.
Fall update brings lots of good stuff. There is a list on web.
whos mommy and daddy have to keep them on check when playing video games.
